Newport News, VA – On Saturday, November 21, 2015, The 17th Annual Family VOLUNTEER Day will be taking place at Virginia Wesleyan College. IVET Solutions and volunteers will be packing nonperishable food for 14 non-profits from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Batten Student Center on campus. The mission of this event is to provide quality family time and strengthen community member relationships while making signification contributions.
This holiday season IVET Solutions continues to promote the importance of building a quality network for the community. “We often times try to go at certain things alone and don’t realize the large number of people willing to lend a hand when asked. We believe that uniting our community at home is vitally important in pursuing the mission of building a network worldwide, which is what we are trying to do in our IVET community on uSync,” said IVET Solutions CEO, Brigadier General Jeffrey Horne (Ret).
The Hampton Roads community is a great representation of what our Nation’s communities should do more of on a regular basis. “We have to resist the natural tendency to get caught up in our own daily drama, responsibilities and recreation. It takes mindfulness and purpose to make things happen. Family VOLUNTEER Day provides a unique opportunity to trade a few hours of free time for an infinite amount of hope,” said Briana Diver, Family VOLUNTEER DAY Co-Chair and Accident & Health Claim Examiner with Chubb & Son Insurance.
