Fashion designer and girlfriend of Rolling Stones Singer Mick Jagger, was found dead in her Manhattan aparment, police are speculating suicide.
Scott, a former model, was famous for her slim-fitting dresses was found hanging from a scarf. “We are investigating it as a suicide,” said New York police Detective Kelly Ort. Police said that the designer was found “unconcious and unresponssive” in her aparment building in an upscale Chelsea neighbourhood. The fire officials said that woman was dead when they had arrived.
Scott became one of New Yorks most famous designers over the last decade with a clientle that involved hollywood A-listers like Nicole Kidman, Amy Adams and Penelope Cruz.
L’Wren Scott had been dating Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger since 2001 and his spokesman said that Jagger was completely shocked and devasted after finding about the incident.
Her death was followed by the suicide of two giants of the world of fashion: British designer Alexander McQueen who suffered from depression and committed suicide in Feb 2010 at the age of 40 and another British designer Isabella Blow, who committed suicide in 2007 at the age of 48.
