After a flurry of casting rumors culminating in the confirmation of Irish actor Jamie Dornan as the lead of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the release date for the mommy-porn genre-buster is being pushed back from Summer 2014 to Valentines Day 2015.
Woe to the couple who attempts to brave the ravenous crowd of E.L. James fans for a pleasant date night.
Although the casting switch-ups might have impacted the production schedule for the erotic thriller, the film will begin shooting in Vancouver on December 2. Dornan himself seems pretty jazzed to portray sadistic businessman Christian Grey:
There was a slight fear. But beyond anything else, I was really f—ing excited … I’m a fairly worldly guy. I grew up in a very liberal place. I’m not saying we had a playroom, but I’m not shocked by [the sex in the book]. It’s essential to tell the story. I can’t believe films that don’t invoke the sexual side of it. So it works for me.
Alongside female co-star Dakota Johnson,as Anastasia Steele, Dornan will engage in a BDSM psychodrama that will leave your mother breathless. Check out the photos from this week’s issue below:
