During a guest appearance in the morning show ‘Magandang Buhay,’ Alex Gonzaga revealed that her sister Toni was unable to accept her own boyfriend, Mikee Morada, immediately.
In a video uploaded by ABS-CBN Entertainment, Alex stated that “Ang ate ko ang medyo nagkaroon ng hard time to accept Mikee.”
Jolina Magdangal then asked her why, to which the actress replied “Kasi parang feeling niya ayaw niya na naman ako masaktan ulit.” She claimed that there were times Toni wouldn’t even allow Mikee inside the house.
Alex then revealed that Mikee wasn’t her dream guy, saying “Sa lahat ng gusto ko, wala siya.” This elicited laughter from the audience. Alex followed up by saying that, during that time, Mikee was already making “pa-cute” to her.
The actress said that she only saw him as a friend and that she wasn’t ready for a relationship yet. Mikee told her that he would be willing to wait for her, to which Alex replied, “Uy, parang umikot ‘yung puwet ko, alam mo ‘yun.. mali ata nasabi ko.”
She recounted that she told her friends about it, claiming that she doesn’t want to completely cut ties with him and that she’s willing to give him a chance, albeit she was not yet ready. But an epiphany eventually struck her, she stated.
“It’s not really the right time, the right situation. It’s the right person.” This earned a whooping cheer from the audience.
Mikee Morada is Alex’s non-showbiz boyfriend who initially appeared on her Instagram page last November 2016. The caption read “Not a third of fifth wheel anymore #Thisisit.”
