Following on from pieandabovril's post
So pieandabovril why not make a point of going along to their next
Home game?
Perhaps you should leave the car at home and take a walk to the ground.
Although they lost 4-0 at home today with an attendance of (180)
I guess they must struggle to survive on attendances like that.
As do the majority of non league teams.
With the international break next weekend, why don't we all go along to our local Non League grounds for their next home game and take along family & friends just to see the other side of the coin with regards to football
Perhaps we could then post a match report on the game, along with the admission fee and facilities, and whether you enjoyed the experience or (not)
I feel sure the local clubs would appreciate your support, and it would give you a cheaper afternoon’s football every other weekend

Moving On
My first home was a first floor flat where I lived in 'Borehamwood' from (1981 to 1991)
I could look out the window of my flat and watch the games, also for evening games I could save a few quid on electricity as the floodlights were fantastic
The Arsenal training ground is in ‘London Colney’ near the (M25) and they would often send a side along for pre-season friendlies, also the Arsenal Ladies team would play matches on the ground.
Having moved to Milton Keynes back in 1991/2 due to my work relocating here, and subsequently to Edinburgh back in 2004, I had the choice to relocate again but there are limits, and so I and others took the severance cash thankyou very much.
Back to the topic,
When I moved here back in 1991/2 I took the trouble of finding my local League/Non League ground would now be the MK Dons, which I have been to several times.
Prior to the Dons locating here from Wimbledon, I would have to say the first match I went to was 'Wolverton Town FC reference the following website
http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/wolvertontownfc/
Sadly if you read their history they became defunct in 1992, but were then reformed and are now a park team playing about 15 minutes away.
Also Wolverton Town and their club badge reminded me too much of that team that play at the 'Custard Bowl'.
Their old ground has long since been built on and is now a housing estate
I guess Newport Pagnell would be another Non League club fairly local also
But the Albion will always be my team, they were the first Professional Club I ever went to watch against Man Utd and we won 2-1 and I was hooked, and I have been a fervent supporter ever since
