Gateway Marketing has presented workshops to hundreds of small businesses in the area of sales and marketing communications at the Anderson School of Business in Albuquerque for 3rd year MBA's and at the Small Business Development Center at the Santa Fe Community College to local entrepreneurs.

SBDC has been the business resource of choice for over 94,000 New Mexican Entrepreneurs.  The NMSBDC was established in 1989 to serve all of the New Mexican Small Business Owners.  There are 20 local centers in communities around the state, an International Business Accelerator and the Procurement Technical Assistance Program.

Below is our Beginner SBDC Series scheduled for March, April & May from 9-11 on Tuesdays (and one Thursday in April) at the Santa Fe Community College (see address above) at a reasonable cost of $ 20/per person per Workshop.

Karen Bomm Founder of aBeansTalkSocial.com a Nationally recognized social media marketing platform and Gateway Marketing, LLC, Sante Fe’s preeminent guerrilla marketing company, have come together to create a series of workshops where you will learn, connect and implement Guerrilla Marketing concepts into the core social media networks.  The sessions will be highly interactive and attendees will have the opportunity to go online for a hands-on experience.

2.       March 11th 9 – 11am – Best Networks and Tools for Social Media Marketing

An introduction to the top social media networks, the distinct languages of each, their strengths and weaknesses, with a comprehensive look at what to look for in tools and a brief overview of the top tools available today.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to network together.  Laptops not required for this workshop.

 

3.       March 25th 9 – 11am – Social Media Strategies

Find out how to keep it simple with team-oriented strategies, building your social media posts around content, videos, or events with your team. Connect with other complementary businesses to create a win-win outcome using social media as you grow your online presence via “Like”, “Share”, “Followers” “Circles” and more.   Laptops are not required for this workshop.

 

4.       April 1st 9 – 11am – Websites and Blogs

Business owners must have a website today. It is one of the most powerful marketing tools today. This workshop will provide the basics on why a website and blog are important, how to create and manage these tools and what types of websites easily integrate with social media.  Business owners will learn that a website and blog provide online content that is valuable for attracting prospects and customers. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network together. Laptops are not required for this workshop

5.       April 8th 9 – 11am – Getting Started with Google (Google+ , Hang Outs and You Tube)

Santa Fe Community College, Kids Campus 6401 S. Richards Ave.

Learn to set up a Google+ account, Google+ Business Page, You Tube Channel, and how to host your own “Hang Out”.  Experience a live “Hang Out” and leave understanding how a “Hang Out” can boost your business to the next level.  Each attendee will have created a “New Circle” connecting everyone attending. Laptops capable of wireless connectivity, preferably laptops with cameras, are required for this workshop. Please contact us to make arrangements if you do not have this equipment.

 

6.       April 17th 9 – 11am – Understanding the Basics of Facebook and Your Fan Page

Santa Fe Community College, Kids Campus 6401 S. Richards Ave.

Learn the basics of using Facebook and a “Fan Page”.  Set up your own “Fan Page”, learn today’s best practices to increase “Likes” (Fans), engagement and reach. Learn how to set up “Secret Groups”, plus a look behind the scenes to learn how to read your page analytics.  Attendees will have the opportunity to grow their reach by “Friend-ing” each other and “Like-ing” others Fan Page.  They will also be added to the “Secret Group” to stay in communication with the others from this class.  Laptops capable of wireless connectivity are required for this workshop. 7.       April 22nd 9 – 11am – Keeping it Simple with Twitter

Learn how to use Twitter; the language, “#hashtags”, and more.  Attendees will set up their own Twitter accounts and their own “#hashtags”.  Learn how Twitter works by creating your own “Following” on your new Twitter account.  Laptops capable of wireless connectivity are required for this workshop. 8.       April 29th 9 – 11am – Understanding the Value of LinkedIn Plus a Company Page

Learn about the unique benefits of LinkedIn, the basics on how to use it, the power of Groups, Privacy Settings, and advanced search techniques.  Attendees will have the opportunity to set up their LinkedIn page and Business Page and will make some choices on which groups to join.  Each attendee can connect to the others in the room and begin expanding their LinkedIn Network.  Laptops capable of wireless connectivity are required for this workshop. 9.       May 6th 9 – 11am – Visual Channels, Including Pinterest, Instagram

Learn some easy to use concepts utilizing visual social media networks to find out if these could benefit your business marketing.  Each attendee can connect to the others in the room and begin expanding their reach.  Laptops capable of wireless connectivity are required in this workshop. 10.   May 13th 9 – 11am – Building a Social Media Team

Learn the power behind building an in-house social media team.  Attendees will gain an understanding of how to build a team to meet their social media marketing needs and how to leverage this task affordably.  Find out what the value of social media admins or managers can be for your organization and which strategy may be right for you.  Laptops are not required for this workshop.
