# Advertised Summary Job Description

Reporting to the Dean of Students at the Mailman School of Public Health, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the executive suite which is comprised of the Dean of Students Office and the Office of Student Academic Affairs and Student Life. This includes providing direct assistance to the Dean of Students in arranging her calendar, interfacing with constituents and communicating on her behalf. This person will also assist in the financial operations of the office including - creating new vendors, tracking and processing invoices and travel business expense reports via ARC, the Columbia University Financial System. The coordinator will triage calls and walk-ins to determine needs of guests. In addition, he/she will organize and maintain files and records for executive suite. She/he will manage projects and conduct research assigned by either the dean of students and/or director of student affairs. This person will prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations. He/she will also handle travel arrangements for dean of students and director of student affairs.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in training, and /or experience plus a minimum of three years related experience.

This position requires a high level of professionalism and an understanding of providing quality customer service. The position requires executive level management of a large department and even larger constituent population. Experience engaging with high volume activity while consistently maintaining a high level of professional conduct and strong work ethic, will be essential for success in this position.

# Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Bachelor's degree and 5 years work experience in higher education or related field. Master's degree preferred.
