Substantial experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm
Industry experience in retail, consumer products, apparel, or other consumer-focused industries is strongly preferred; either as part of consulting experience or based on prior work in retail & brand company
Ability to assess and agility with researching and analyzing market, category, and competitive context within retail/ luxury/ consumer goods industries
Experience working across many functional areas of a company. Can successfully relate to and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and can collaborate with various backgrounds and styles
Background in financial and strategic planning, working together with finance functions either as part of strategy engagements or in a finance role capacity
Background in merchandising and creative fields, working together with these functions in developing & executing plans
Some experience conducting consumer research
Strong strategic thinker, problem solving and analytic expertise, and effective management skills
Demonstrated track record of developing and executing work plans to address major questions, generating strategic recommendations with financial impact and cross-functional implications, and using fact-based, complex data to provide insights and prioritize corporate agenda
Ability to quickly establish significant credibility, trust and support within all levels of the organization (i.e. peers, subordinates and senior management)
International experience, knowledge of one or more foreign languages, and experience working within a large global company are all highly desirable
