Purpose and Objectiveof Job:
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Product Expert at our Palo Alto, CA location to define the product strategy, scope, and roadmap related to the ARIBA Business Network and related SAP Supply Chain applications, which are part of SAP's SaaS (Software as a service) portfolio of applications, to support the improvement of existing scenarios for supply chain management orchestration.
Expectations and Tasks of Job:
Ensure the product is defined for successful and profitable delivery to customers, ensuring minimum TCO and maximum usability and adoption. Identify innovative approaches and technologies within the ARIBA Business Network related SAP Supply Chain Management offerings to make SAP the leading provider of on-demand solutions in the marketplace. Maintain close communication with customers, the partner ecosystem, and internal stakeholders and make decisions about new product functionalities. Serve as part of the team helping SAP achieve its goal of being the leading provider of cloud SaaS solutions through the rapid growth of inter-enterprise collaboration through the ARIBA Business Network and related SAP Supply Chain management cloud offerings. Work in a SCRUM team and manage all aspects of the backlog for that team, including but not limited to prioritization of tasks, requirement design, and testing. Contribute to the Master Product/release backlog and provide feedback regarding solutions to the (Chief) Product Owner and/or other stakeholders. Work closely with Solution Management (Solution Owners) to define product roadmaps; evaluate existing and emerging competition; create business cases for both internal developments, partnerships and acquisitions; and develop a clear value proposition to customers. Orchestrate the end-to-end idea-to-close process and validate the results. Coordinate the bundling/combination of services, software, and content and collaborate with stakeholders/contributors on the solution level throughout the complete process (e.g. other Solution Owners, Customers, and Services). Support key customer engagements and the Services with domain expertise, as well as ensure customer and market requirements are understood and implemented by Development. Support the roll-out and go-to-market initiatives by the Field organization. Present and demo the ARIBA Business Network and related SAP Supply Chain applications in sales situations and conferences and collaborate and work with global teams across EMEA, APJ, and the Americas. 20%25%20travel required.
Work Experience:
Experience must include Development / Product / Solution management or related consulting experience in a line of business supply chain / product / solution management or consulting. Experience translating customer business needs into product functions and features required. Experience must also involve supply chain applications; SAP's supply chain solutions SAP SNC (SAP Supply Network Collaboration); SAP APO (SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization); creating innovative approaches to solve customer business needs in the supply chain management space; implementing SAP's collaborative supply chain management solution SAP SNC at customer sites; and line of business supply chain experience. Experience understanding customer needs and translating these into product features and applying these to the Development Teams for efficient collaboration and product lifecycle required. Experience with supply chain processes within global companies across regions and key industries including life science and pharmaceutical, consumer products, retail, high tech, and discrete manufacturing required. Experience must involve Go-to-market and positioning collaborative supply chain management solution in markets heavily influenced by industries and regions, including the application of industry or region specific supply chain processes and account localization needs to enable the quick turnaround of product requirements for supply chain applications. Experience must also involve procurement applications and processes and SaaS solutions for sales and operations planning as well as deployment and integration services related to those solutions. Experience must include SAP NetWeaver integration and business process technologies and infrastructure including Business Add-In (BADI), Intermediate Document (IDoc), Remote Function Call (RFC), User Exits, and Process Integration (PI). Experience must also include translating integration requirements between on-demand and on-premise applications in supply chain or procurement business processes. 20%25%20travel required.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 7 years of experience required. Will accept a Master s degree and 5 years of experience.
