The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, located in Trenton, New Jersey, is the states premier business advocacy organization and the statewide voice for all of New Jersey businesses. The State Chamber represents its members on a wide range of business, legislative and education issues at the State House and in Washington, D.C. The organization also links many of the states local and regional chambers on issues of importance through its Chambers United Coalition.The State Chamber is currently looking to fill the full-time position of Relationship Manager, a key role in fulfilling the Chambers day-to-day and long-term goals. This position is primarily an inside sales position, but does require occasional outside sales calls. The Relationship Manager must be a well-organized, highly motivated professional with three years experience in business-to-business sales. The Relationship Manager will be responsible for creating unique, value-driven proposals and campaigns designed to sell and retain memberships to both large and small business entities and organizations in New Jersey. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales objectives pertaining to new member sales and membership retention, generating and assessing potential new member leads and creating strategies and methods necessary to grow and retain Chamber memberships. The successful candidate must also be effective in all methods of sales, from professional presentations to cold-calling, lead generation and networking. Must be able to clearly articulate the benefits of membership to high level executives and decision makers representing business of all sizes. The successful candidate will also participate in strategy development sessions with the Chambers senior leadership. Availability for occasional early morning and after-hours events/meetings required, in addition to one overnight event requirement. The Relationship Manager will report to the Vice President of Member Services.
