Description
Experienced HR leader supporting either a Business Partner function (cross-region/multiple countries) or a Line of Business (Manages an exempt staff in support of a discrete business).   Manages team, overseeing a staff of professionals who provide functional expertise to assigned business within established policy and program guidelines.  Manages the delivery of solutions and HR services to the business or business partner group, ensuring coordination across geographies to ensure consistency, fairness and engagement while leveraging best practices.  Member of the business/business partner leadership team and HR Operating Committee.

* _Key Responsibilities_*
·        Deliver solutions:  As a member of the business/business partner leadership team, leverages knowledge of the function, it's culture, competitors and practices to create or drive HR solutions that help drive the business results.   Understands function dynamics including growth strategies, M&A/divestitures, financials and products/services.  Business supported are among BNY Mellon's largest and are typically global.
·        Trusted Advisor: Provides counsel and advice to managers and leaders within the business; influences people decisions and anticipates people implications of business initiatives.  Speaks the language of the business; understands the key drivers of success; has the insight to raise issues for consideration by leadership.   Act as talent proponent with the business.  Works effectively with leaders within the business including peer Business Partner groups (i.e, Finance, Legal, Risk, Technology).
·        Facilitates flawless execution of HR services:  Works effectively with colleagues within HR to orchestrate the delivery and/or customization of HR programs needed to provide competitive advantage.  Continually updates and/or educates colleagues within HR on the business to help drive optimal solution for all constituents.  This may include compensation, staffing, performance management, diversity, operations and governance.
·        Manage a large team of HR professionals (50+):  Manages and directs a staff who are directly responsible for providing day to day expertise including HRBPs, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Reporting, Community Partnership and Administration/Governance.  Select, develop, compensate and retain team; be seen as a leader within BNYMellon HR.  Assesses staffing needs to best meet business demands.
·        Participate on company-wide HR initiatives:  Ensure understanding of HR strategy and actions across BNYMellon; effectively participate as leader or member of cross-function teams as needed.

·         As HR leader supporting a large business or business partner group must have business knowledge consistent with being a contributing member of the leadership team.  Must be knowledgeable about competitors in order to ensure competitive talent programs.  Must be able to identify people implications of function strategies.
·         Acts as people capability builder within a function - aligning strategy, culture, policies, programs and people to help function meet their goals. Will need to ensure solutions make sense in the context of next level up business strategy.  In this regard, will need to influence and educate multiple constituencies to a high degree.
·         Manager of professionals; knowledge, communication, business and change management skills consistent with experienced HR manager.
·         Is a member of the Pershing Executive Committee, Member of Human Resources Operating Committee.  May represent the business externally.
·         Series 7 & 24 required within one year of hire date
·         Minimum of 12 years of work experience
