This is a Java ATG (with some mobile apps develpment experience) in our Point of Sale applications team. This is the application our sales force uses.
For Point Of Sale Development, we are looking for a experienced Java/Web/ATG Developer to support Business & Front line needs for various applications including Netace (internal app name), TeleSales (internal app name), SFAOM & eROES (Mobile & Desktop internal apps names) .
This job and duties involve to provide IT solutions for rep assisted channels to conduct the sales which will generate revenue.
This job involves to support the pre order launches which will generate the revenue to the company and will add gross adds/net adds.
This job entails working on modules towards ATG/OMNI conversion, & Mobilization of our Customer facing Apps.
Leads applications team members in selected project activities.
• Works independently as a team lead on intermediate to large projects of average to high complexity & provides direction and supervision to junior developers.
•This position is responsible for performing design, programming duties and producing specific deliverables related to various phases of the development life cycle.
•Performs expert-level design & code from specifications, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex software applications.
•Proactively communicates status reports and issues to manager. Successfully completes all relevant technical and professional training programs in accordance with Performance Agreement goals and objectives
Responsibilities
To lead modules for front-end projects for ICONIC, POS Mobile on ATG OMNI, and other supporting applications.
Work, support, coordinate and track work efforts with on site and off site teams(including remote locations and offshore VDSI)
Candidate should be able to play a role of an lead developer for these modules and have an understanding of the impact of changes to the customer. Candidate will have to keep focus on user interfaces, simplicity and criticality of the process and need to work out complex problems with simple solutions. Need to have critical thinking abilities with detailed focus and lead by example. Candidate need to be excellent at technology adaptation and developing variety of solutions. Mentor new hires, juniors and off shore teams as needed.
Analysis, Design, Development, Code deployment, Testing :
To be mainly involved in development/coding tasks with Java and related technologies on the front-end. Also need a strong knowledge on SQL queries for most of the projects.
Candidate should have excellent command over Java/J2EE technologies and UNIX operating system. Along with this strong database knowledge on Oracle RDB or 10g is essential to develop end-to-end solutions and do robust designs.
Candidate need to be ready to quickly adapt to new technologies and frameworks. Should be quickly able to adapt to design and development of web & mobile platform based applications and handset/peripheral development for POS application.
Application support and maintenance: Ongoing support involves enhancements, initiatives along with quick problem resolution and troubleshooting capabilities. The primary responsibility is to troubleshoot and fix the production problems within 24-48 hours if they are of high or critical nature. Work closely with the team on support activities and help them breakdown the work and contribute towards fast delivery of solutions. Be able to monitor and fine tune/configure the processes to provide optimal performance during retail.
Qualifications
• B.S. or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years in related discipline
• Experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
• Teamwork & collaboration skills to work across organizations and lead cross-functional teams
• Communication & stakeholder management skills
• Problem solving skills to develop quick yet sound solutions to resolve complex issues
Strong programming and analytical skills
- Spring and Hibernate
- 3+ Yrs of hands on ATG experience.
- Hands on Mobile technologies such as iOS & Android development.
- Hands on Mobile scripting technologies such as, Backbone, Marionette, Angular, NodeJS.
- Javascript, JSP, Servlet, HTML/DHTML, Webservices, Ajax, XML, JSON, Backbone, Marionette
- Experience in Web Application development, Mobile development (IOS, Android, windows), Ajax, Jquery, Html 5, CSS3, velocity, JSON. Rest and SOAP based web services development.
- Competency in relational database structures and SQL
- Strong knowledge of applicable methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures
- Strong organizational and problem solving abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Works very closely with his leads to understand the tools and technologies needed to perform his job in an efficient manner. Candidate should be a quick learner, and applies what he learns on the job.
