Position Description:

CGI is currently hiring OSI PI/Honeywell PHD Application (Plant Data Historian) Support Analysts in Houston, TX.

Candidates will be a part of our Oil and Gas Practice and will work on site at our local Oil and Gas clients serving some of the worlds- largest global energy companies.
Candidates need to have current experience providing real time application support and real time operator support for plant historian applications as responsibilities will include:
?Develop installation and operations documentation
?Develop on-line training modules for plant historian
?Develop best practices for plant historian tag definitions; data compression, etc.
?Project management - Develop site requirements, gap assessments, and risk analysis
?Project execution - Hardware/Software Installation, conduct user training
?Develop procedures for installing Microsoft Windows clustering for the plant data historian and Microsoft SQL Server providing system redundancy and automatic failover for the data historian
?Develop procedures for merging databases and archive files to consolidate multiple plant historian
?Definition of new releases and enhancement requirements to vendor
?Customer evaluation testing for new releases and major enhancements with vendor
?Microsoft Active Directory and security model administration
?Ongoing site support
?Qualification of new software releases, updates and patches
?Detail the steps required to install PI server software
?Ability to detail the steps required to prepare the interfaces for go-live, without impacting their current function.
?Work pack/functional spec/test scripts
?PI to PI interfaces for go-live
?Detailing the steps required for go live, including reconfiguring the data transfer.
?Documentation to hand over to a 3rd party provider so they can continue long-term support. (Network diagrams, configuration documents, password repositories, etc.).
?Install PI servers
?Configure PI interfaces to allow proof of comms to new PI servers without impacting/breaking existing data flow.
?Configure PI to PI to allow proof of comms from new PI servers to new PI system.
?Reconfigure PI interfaces to deliver data to new system
?Confirm application connectivity
?Reconfigure PI to PI interfaces to deliver data from new collective per functional spec.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
?MINIMUM of 4 years- of experience using OSI PI and/or Honeywell PHD
?One or more of the following: OSIsoft PI, Honeywell Uniformance (PHD) and integration with Honeywell TDC3000 & Experion, Fischer, Yamatake, Emerson, Matrikon OPC servers & Tunneller, OSISoft PI
?Microsoft SQL Server
?Microsoft Active Directory
?Microsoft Office tools (Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
?Experience providing tier 1 and tier 2 support in-person to business users of OSI Soft PI and Honeywell PHD applications including but not limited to PI SDK, Webparts, AF and IT Monitoring.
?Experience with administering and supporting the OSIsoft PI system and Honeywell PHD
?Experience building plant data historian displays, metrics, and reports
?Ability to work call duty support
Have hands on experience in installing and configuring PI Servers, PI to PI, and PI OPC Interface
?Working experience within the Oil and Gas Industry is an added advantage
?Stakeholder management and good communication skills
?Proactive attitude
?Able to work independently and make prompt and informative decision (as this resource will be working at project site)
?Experience with plant historian software deployments, upgrades, migrations, etc.
?Experience working with 3rd party vendor development teams on defining requirements and testing new releases.
?Experience working in environments where actions are auditable and change control/testing processes are followed
?Experience with Windows server administration
?Perform necessary technical corrective actions to restore failed or failing technical services related to the PI Systems
?Takes ownership of actions and follows through to completion by agreed upon due dates
?Ability to manage multiple priorities related to multiple projects at once, and work collaboratively across organizational lines
?Analytic ability in order to research technical issues and generate creative/innovative solutions

Education:
BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degree or 10+ years- of work experience with plant data historians
