**REGIONAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE**

**General**

The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for the sales growth and management of all direct sales and marketing activities within the appointed region. The Regional Sales Representative’s leadership is key to maintaining the company’s image to end users for quality products and services.

**Specific Responsibilities**

* Forecasting, development, and effective implementation of sales and marketing plans to achieve territory sales forecasts and goals.
* Effective territory management, including establishment of buying cycles, customer needs and relations, is critical to success.
* Recommendations for advertising programs, regional trade shows, and other market specific activities to cost effectively promote Henderson products.
* Identify revenue opportunities and monitor competitive activity and trends, informing management as appropriate
* Maintain sales programs by keeping customers informed directly about available services, equipment, prices, and new products.
* Assist customers in selection of equipment for specific applications
* Assist with product trouble diagnoses and resolution
* Regular travel schedule to effectively manage assigned territory
* Knowledgeable of features, benefits and use of products, with complete knowledge of selling techniques and ability to close sales
**Working Conditions**

* Subject to varied working conditions while travelling on company business.
**Knowledge & Skills**

* Extensive truck equipment industry knowledge.
* Mechanical aptitude and problem analysis and resolution ability; ability to work with equipment specifications
* Technological skills required with knowledge of Microsoft products, including Excel and Word in Windows environment
* Organizational, detail, and follow-up skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong team player
**Education & Work Experience**

* Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or Related field required
* 3-5 years experience in inside sales or customer service, in truck equipment industry preferred
