L Plus is one of those well-respected artists that you’d have to really know the drum n bass world to know as well as you should. But that’s why we’re here, to shed more light on artists like him, bringing you closer to and more involved in the community.
The Slovakian producer and hell raiser has been working on his craft since the 90s, and exclusively signed to Technique Recordings in 2011. He’s been supported by fellow luminaries like Friction, DC Breaks, Crissy Criss, and Drumsound & Bassline Smith, and has a reputation as one of the dnb community’s top-tier producers. His engineering skill and musicianship are two amongst many aspects of his work that set his career trajectory into the stratosphere.
As L Plus’ next great feet, he has announced his debut full 15-track LP is finally on its way, titled Hideout LP. “Writing my album was something I’ve never experienced before,” he writes to NEST HQ over email. “It was a one year long journey full of studio engineering and testing on international crowd.” As a treat for this milestone, we have the privilege of premiering one of our favorite tracks from the record, “Get Ugly.”
“I really like GET UGLY because it’s one of the tunes I use for changing tempo breakpoint. And of course it’s working as hell :) DJs asking me what’s that from the day 1 of testing it out as an unfinished tune.”
