Hello again everyone! It’s DISCHETTO and I’m back for the fourth installment of my monthly techno playlist series. This month’s playlist highlights Danny Daze, who, in addition to being an all around incredible musician and DJ, runs his own Omnidisc label which is quickly becoming quite the source for ethereal techno material.

Today I have for you all a jam packed set of techno, jungle, bass, dubby, and dark house excursions (in no particular order) to soundtrack your weekend of debauchery.

Danny Daze & rHr – Ginga EP [Warung Recordings]

Danny Daze has been one of my favorite producers for a while now. The indisputably talented Miami native pays such attention to detail with his productions, with not one lacking in mind-altering finesse and intricacy. Both of the tracks on this Ginga EP are seductive and flavorful, and really highlight his musical strengths in new and exciting ways.

Danny also just recently did an in-depth, hour-long interview with Thump that you should probably listen to as well.

Dimitri Veimar – Time EP [Omnidisc]

Released on Danny Daze’s imprint, this EP is dark and brooding yet extremely danceable and intense in the best way.

Josh Wink – Shoelaces EP [Boysnoize Records]

When I first heard Josh Wink was releasing on BNR I nearly lost it. Being from Philadelphia, there aren’t that many techno producers that rep our city as hard as Josh does. Coincidentally, Josh’s kid is in daycare next door to the record store I work at, so I frequently see him zooming by on his bike and send a friendly wave his way. This EP is like pure f**king acid at its finest.

Classicworks – Common Denominator Compilation

One of my favorite burgeoning new labels from Barcelona run by Cardopusher and Nehuen put out a compilation this month and it is the perfect representation of the label’s dedication to peculiar, downtempo, and primarily mechanical sounds.

Sunil Sharpe – Tinfoil (previews)

These are fkn wild. I don’t know much about Sunil Sharpe, but his sound is somewhere along the lines of a Randomer and Blawan hybrid lovechild.

Craig Williams & Bot – Resistance EP [Relief Records]

Craig Williams and Bot respectively never disappoint when it comes to machine-driven bouncy tech sounds.

Randomer & Hodge – Simple As / Freeze [Livity Sound]

RAAAANNDDOOOMMMEEERRR. God this guy is talented. His way of creating such emotive and expressive tracks with an incredibly dark and edgy touch is truly the mark of a master.

KMRT – Combustion EP [Esten Club Records]

Percussive, drum-heavy, and energetic tracks is KMRT’s specialty, and this LA-based producer totally nailed it on his EP released on the new Esten Club Recs. label.

Jensen Interceptor – Memorial Park Tapes Vol. 1 [Boysnoize]

This Aussie gets super rowdy and real on his latest EP for BNR. Since this was released, I’ve played “Collect Those Ends” in every DJ set since hehe.

Daniel Avery – Clear (Abdulla Rashim Remix) [Phantasy]

Just a really gripping and minimalistic tech-ed out remix of a Daniel Avery classic.

My Nu Leng – Eyes

True jungle dub. Absolutely Wild.

UMFANG – Force [1080p]

As an integral member of the Discwoman squad, UMFANG has been makin’ some pleasingly eerie and intrinsically weird tracks as of late.

GENER8ION x Audemars Piguet

Not really sure what these tunes are but they’re absolutely dope.

Ansome – Back Alley Sally (Randomer Remix)

Again, it’s Randomer. Need I say more.

TSVI – Mix for Jamz Supernova

Although not overtly techno, TSVI and the whole Nervous Horizon crew are probably in my top 5 right now. They have such a disparately different, club-influenced sound that is undeniably about to pop the f off.

Wallwork & Nan Kolè – Fyah feat. Nico Lindsay [Black Acre]

Jungly, bassy, and dubby.

Deapmash – SUBterror Radio Mix

Known for his aphotic, unforgiving, and absolutely relentless style, Deapmash composes a two-hour soundtrack not fit for the faint of heart.

Kiwi – Shiba Inu (Mark E Remix)

This is a modular masterpiece of madness.

Overmono – Lockner Union / Olchon Flows [XL Recordings]

These two tracks are respectively the perfect amounts of dramatic, sensual, and aggressive techno.

Liar & Mutual Friend – Sidewinder (Kamikaze Space Programme Remix) [Tessier-Ashpool Recordings]

I will never stop loving KSP’s severe sounds with abstract rhythms.

DJ Bark Lee – Brighta Dayz [Club Aerobics]

So this definitely isn’t techno… it’s a jersey club bonafide – for lack of a better word – banger.

Phil Kieran – Make A Change (Matrixxman Remix)

Never lacking in raw, distorted, and deliciously belligerent sounds, Matrixxman creates some wonderful dystopian landscapes on this remix.

The Butcha – 99 Prince St. (Matrixxman Acidized Mix) [Cuttin’ Heads]

In contrast to the Matrixxman rework above, this one is a more low-key acid trip.

S-File – Digital Disorder (Turbo Turbo Remix) [GND]

Turbo Turbo slams. Always.

Tiga – I’m So Boss [Turbo]

Tiga is so multi-talented when it comes to exploring different sounds. On this one, he takes things a little downtempo and samples a chopped “I’m so boss” vocal loop atop a repeating, groove-driven percussion sequence.

Rebekah – Anxiety [Soma]

This track is musical anxiety, but like, in a good way.

THROWBACK TRACK: Ecstasy Club – Jesus Loves The Acid

The name literally says it all. A 1988 classic I first heard Djedjotronic play on Holy Ship two years ago and nearly lost myself.
