What is London Anime and Gaming Con?

London Anime Con is a fun and friendly anime and gaming bi-annual convention taking place every July and February. It is now a 2,000+ person two-day event!

There are voice-actors, internet celebs, cosplayers, bands, singers and speakers lined up!

Cristina Vee



Cristina Vee is a voice actress from Los Angeles, CA. Since getting her first large anime roles in 2007, Cristina has voiced over 100 characters in both animation and video games. Anime fans know her Mio Akiyama in K-ON!, Alisa Bosconovitch in Tekken Blood Vengeance, Homura Akemi in Madoka Magica, Morgiana in Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, the eleven Honoka sisters in Netflix’s Knights of Sidonia, Cubone (and others) in Pokemon Origins and Riruka Dokugamine in Bleach. She was recently announced as the new voice of Sailor Mars in her favorite show, Sailor Moon!

On the video game scene she is popular for her voice work as Noel Vermillion and the Murakumo Units in the Blazblue series, Compa in the Neptunia series, Lian Shi in Dynasty Warriors, Cerebella in Skullgirls, Riven the Exile in League of Legends, Nova in Tales of Xillia 2 (pay your debt!), Shantae in Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse and Half-Genie Hero, Four in Drakengard 3, Karna and Bami in Ys Memories of Celceta, Serina in Conception 2, and Cinque in Final Fantasy Type-0. Beyond voice acting she has a large YouTube following for her singing. She provides vocals to songs in Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage!? and Shantae: Half Genie Hero. She currently casts and directs Skullgirls and is recognizable to eSports fans for hosting IGN’s IPL 4 and 5

Christine Marie Cabanos



Christine Marie Cabanos is a voice over actress based out of Los Angeles and has been involved in close to thirty anime and gaming titles.

Some of her most notable roles include Azusa Nakano (K-ON!), Madoka Kaname (MADOKA MAGICA), Shiemi Moriyama (BLUE EXORCIST), Mako Mankanshoku (KILL LA KILL), Silica (SWORD ART ONLINE) , Minori Kushieda (TORADORA!), Haruka (OBLIVION ISLAND), the titular character of Squid Girl in SQUID GIRL, Minawa Ando (MAHOROMATIC: I’M HOME), General Pisti (MAGI), Michi Kondo (LAGRANGE) Ruka Asato (ACCEL WORLD), Reina and Mew (POKEMON ORIGINS), Filia (SKULLGIRLS), Marie Rose (DEAD OR ALIVE 5 ULTIMATE), Chiaki Nanami (DANGANRONPA 2), Nepgear in the HYPERDIMENSION NEPTUNIA series, Keina Sawaya (ATELIER MERURU) and roles in video games such as Time and Eternity, Fairy Fencer F, Tales of Xillia 2, Ragnarok Online 2, Witch and the Hundred Knight and Mugen Souls Z.

Well known as providing zombies to the Game and Film industry, Silent Studios will be at  to show off their amazing make-up skills live to the public.

Scarlett Young Singer/Dancer

Scarlett Young is most notable from her recent appearance on Japanese TV Show Nodojiman and was voted UK Kawaii Star at Hyper Japan.

Cinnamon Purin

Cinnamon Purin are a South East England based dance group consisting currently of four members; Lizzie, Lottie, Jessie and Finny. Venues performed at between them include The Japanese Art Festival, Bunkasai, Hyper Japan, LFCC, EMT and MCM Expo.

M.O.E

M.O.E are Momoiro Otome Ensemble, a Meidol (Maid idol) unit! They also work usually as Maids at Maids of England, a maid cafe based in London, UK! They perform dance and song covers of Doujinshi, Anime, J-pop and idol songs.

MasakoX

Lawrence Simpson (aka MasakoX) is best known as part of Team Four Star‘s DBZ Abridged. He voices these characters on Dragonball Z Abridged: Goku, Gohan, Master Roshi, Dende and Dr. Birdenheim.

EileMonty

EileMonty [Eileen Montgomery] is an artiste from the UK who has performed in professional pantomime tours, freelance singing, family entertainment, skin work, hair modeling, voice over work and of course performing at different conventions across the globe.

She has had numerous voice over roles in games and animation such as Lady Tethys in Dust; An Elysian Tail, Mustache Girl & Queen Vanessa in the A Hat In Time Bailey in the online Animation TOME and many others.

Eileen has been a Youtube Entertainer for 8 years and has had many cameo’s in Abridged series and also Minecraft Parodies such as Supernatural Mobs and Let it glow.

Within the Brony fandom she has collaborated with many talented musicians recording original and cover songs and also a popular parody called “I Am Octavia”. She is also notable for her voice acting roles in the Brony fandom such as Bubbles in Double Rainboom, PhotoFinish in Picture Perfect Pony, Zecora in the Epic Pony Rap Battle’s Of Equestria and Button’s Mom in Button’s Adventures.

Xthedarkone

Xthedarkone shall be returning to LAGC to join MasakoX, EileMonty and others as part of the abridgers lineup for the show!

Abridger Xthedarkone is from Yu-Gi-Oh GX as well as guesting in many other abridged series such as ‘Yugioh Abridged’ and ‘Dragonball Z Abridged’. X is also a member of ‘souleateracademy’ who abridge ‘Soul Eater’. As well as fandubbing xthedarkone has also taken to abridging his own solo project ‘Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Retro Lords are Retro Video Game & Toy Specialists scaling across Essex and Milton Keynes. They hold and host Retro Video game events which include, live music, loads of old/new consoles and shall be hosting and putting together a gamers quiz on the Sunday of LAGC

Heart Of Gaming

The Heart of Gaming aka HoG will be returning to head up an expanded Arcade Zone and bringing a wide selection of Arcade Cabinets including a selection of rare arcade cabinets and consoles. They have everything from the original Donkey Kong right up to Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros. You pay a fee to enter and everything is on free play.

Cosplay Stars

Enja Cosplay

Benjamin Hunt aka Enja Cosplay is a London based cosplayer and in 2011 he represented the UK in the first Season of the European Cosplay Gathering in Paris. He’s also represented the UK in Eurocosplay and ECG Season 4 as well as winning the final of Cosplay World Masters.

Lady Noctis

Lady Noctis is an illustrator, alternative model and cosplayer based in Manchester who has been published throughout the UK in magazines such as Bizarre, NEO and Scifi Now Magazine. She’s is widely known for her latex cosplays, and for her ongoing series “Star Wars: The Latex Saga”.

She’s previously contributed as a writer for Geek Pride, where she’d write comic reviews and other content; and in addition to this she’s an admin for Super Cosplay Girls.

“I’m just another dreamer running around in a cape playing superheroes… ok, truth. I’m an aspiring illustrator and model (professional derper) who also likes to play dress up; or as I like to say “I am latex clad superhero”.

Laura Sindall

Laura is a London based cosplayer who has been creating costumes for 8 years and has cosplayed in several different countries around the world including Japan where she represented the UK for the first time at the World Cosplay Summit in 2012, and came first in the European Cosplay Gathering finals in Paris 2014!

AnnaS

Anna is a London based cosplayer and started off cosplaying superheroes and mastering spandex but has since moved on to film, TV and video games. She has also competed in competitions like ECG.

Kelly Jean

“Hi my name is Kelly Jean and this will be my first time attending LAGC! (after the weather made me miss last time) I have a lot of both anime and video game related costumes, so it’ll be interesting trying to decide what to bring for it. I’m thinking maaaaaybe another League of Legends and Borderlands costume.

I’ve ran a lot of workshops for kids and teenagers on how to get into cosplaying (including for the Barbican museum, Bexley Gov. for their Anime & Manga society, GEEK and several comic stores) so I’m sure I’ll be doing a panel at some point during the weekend, as well as helping judge the costume contest. So please come over and say hi if you see me! I often carry swag around with me, so you’ll just have to see and ask”.

Chiquitita

Chiquitita is a spanish cosplayer based in London and has been cosplaying at conventions for 5 years whilst studying fashion and design for stage and screen.

Stacey Rebecca

Stacey Rebecca is an alternative model and cosplayer from London and is best known for her viral Mary Jane cosplay (see above!). Part of the Sexy Cosplay Girls team, she helps to scout locations, lend a hand on shoots and interview the very best cosplay models, as well as modelling for the site herself. Stacey has recently started her international convention adventure and has been a guest and masquerade judge at several UK conventions this year.

Tabitha Artyfakes

Tabitha Lyons has been in the prop industry for nearly 15 years. Even though Tabitha is quite new to the cosplay scene (2012) She started making costumes for LARP since she was 8. Tabitha started working for her dad when she was 12 years old and they now run their own company Artyfakes Action Props founded in 2007. Artyfakes specialises in foam and latex, handmade custom props.

KleptoPenguin

KleptoPenguin is a multi-award-winning artist in the UK convention performer circuit, since his convention debut at MCM in 2013, he has under his belt Solo Act Winner of Kitacon’s Got Talent 2014, 1st Place LAGC Talent Show 2014, winner of the UK round of the MOSHi MOSHi NiPPON! LiveDAM Karaoke Contest (going on to win 2nd place in the international finals in Tokyo, Japan), and most recently winner of the HYPER UTAU Karaoke Contest 2014.

Julia Mascetti

Julia Mascetti is a harpist and singer-songwriter. Expect to hear harp versions of Rock, Metal, Anime soundtrack and J-Pop favorites!

Heroine Syndrome

Heroine Syndrome is a Kingston formed pop punk/post hardcore trio featuring vocalist-songwriter Meg , guitarist-arranger Kaoru and bassist Touma. You can expect a set including a few of their favourite anime openings/endings as well as the band’s fresh and vibrant originals from their upcoming, 5 track, debut EP “Wrong Side of the Road”.

OC ReMix

OverClocked ReMix are the world’s largest gaming remix community, recomposing some of your favourite retro classics with a thriving community of video game music fans. Check out their site for free albums of rearranged video game soundtracks such as providing the first ever fan-made soundtrack for Capcom’s Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

Formby

Formby are inspired by video game music this 4 piece alternative rock band are a recommended must see for fans of Attack on Titan and the Final Fantasy series. Over the past two years, they have toured and been played on radio stations all over England, receiving great reviews for their debut album “Black Hole King” which was released at the end of 2012. Their second album “Dreaming Under Stormy Tides” is destined for release at the start of 2015.

The Kut

The Kut are a London rock trio with a great live show. They were voted into in the winning spots for MTV UK Brand New Unsigned Poll for 2014, their current single ‘NO TRACE’ is dark and emotive track taken from the forthcoming ‘Makeup’ EP, due for release this summer.

What The Beck

What The Beck is a project of singer-songwriter Becky Jerams, joined by her bearded guitarist Denz Xavier (aka. Denzy Denz)

Becky also writes and records serious music and has had her songs featured in TV Shows and trailers across the world, including US show “The Carrie Diaries” and Mandy Moore rom-com “Love Wedding Marriage”.

Kerri-Veck

Kerri Veck is a classically trained soprano from Hampshire and will be singing a mix of opera, anime and metal songs for her performance.

AcousticBrony

AcousticBrony comprises of Edd and Jimmy, one of the longest and consistent brony music duos in the brony fandom. Later this year Edd and Jimmy will be releasing their new album which is going to be heavily inspired by games and anime.
