Over here on Nerdbong.com we are not the first to point out artists unless they are drawing our favourite superheroes in the pages of a comic book or they are putting fresh ink on to the body of Nerdbong’s first lady @piggymouth. But once in a while an artists slips through the cracks of the inter web and makes in onto the screens of our laptops and blows us away.

With his 1920+ collection Jakub Roazalski takes the bleak World War 2 winters of Warsaw and images of Polish armies, or the cornfields of Eastern Europe and combines these with looming images of mech robots and futuristic fighting machines to make breathtaking pieces of what the war would have looked like with such advanced technology juxtaposed to soldiers on horse back with bolt action rifles.

But the Hamburg concept artist Jakub Rozalski doesn’t just stay in war torn Warsaw, we are also taken to an accent world of Samaurais and Ronins in images that look like concept art for a Akira Kurosawa film Rozalski has a lone samurai slicing a man in half and my personal favourite a one on one show down of a swordsman against a Predator.
