HUDSON, OHIO (April 3, 2014) – LifeCenter Plus recently opened “LCP Kneads”, a newly remodeled Massage Therapy Studio, offering three types of massages to both members and non members by appointment.
“Our new massage therapy studio has a beautiful reception area and a private 170 square foot massage room in a spa-like setting with soothing lighting and a relaxing atmosphere,” said Jerry Lynch, co-owner of LifeCenter Plus. “Our three massage therapists are trained to offer a variety of massages. Because the club is open 5 am to 10 pm weekdays and generous hours on the weekend, our massage studio hours are open much longer than most massage salons.”
Although the massage studio is open many hours, individuals will need to make an appointment before the massage. Members and non members can schedule with one of three licensed massage therapists: Jordan Lang, Kathleen DeLeone, or Beth Rinear by calling 330-655-2377, extension 128. Gift certificates are available in 90 minute, one hour, and half hour increments.
Massage has been shown to help overall health and wellness. In addition to increasing the blood supply to muscles and improving circulation, massage lessens pain, facilitates movement and decreases stress.
Three types of massages are available, Swedish, sports or therapeutic. A combination of all three may also be requested, depending on the desired results. Swedish massages are generally for relaxation and relieving muscle tension in a full body massage, whereas a sports massage generally focuses on the muscles relevant to a particular athletic activity and help promote performance and lessen recovery time. Therapeutic or deep tissue pressure massage uses concentrated finger pressure to help relieve painful spasm areas in muscles.
The Massage Therapy Studio is available by appointment only. Informal chair massages are also available at LifeCenter Plus, depending upon programs, events and availability, as well as on-site chair massages at corporate locations via Central Wellness.
The “LCP Kneads” Massage Therapy Studio is the third in a series of upgrades the mind/body/soul area at LifeCenter Plus. In the past two years, a new yoga studio and two new Pilates studios were added to the premier fitness facility. The mind/body/soul area was spotlighted by many members during a full membership survey and focus group study.
