Actor Dean Cain shakes hands with Airmen from the 57th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Raptor Aircraft Maintenance Unit Aug. 2. at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Cain learned about the various capabilities of the F-22 Raptor and the various jobs Airmen perform to keep the aircraft in working condition. The F-22 Raptor is a single-seat, twin-engine, fifth- generation, maneuverable fighter aircraft that uses stealth technology designed primarily as an air superiority fighter but has additional capabilities that include ground attack, electronic warfare and signals intelligence roles.

The Robbie Risner Award was created in September 1976 and is awarded to the Air Force weapons officer who makes the biggest combat impact in the first year after graduating from the Weapons Instructor Course at Nellis AFB, Nev.
