The spice must flow! And for tattoo lovers out there, so must the ink! If you love Frank Herbert's novel Dune or its movieadaptations, then you'll love these tattoos that mark out fans like stained lips show Mentats.

This one pictured above was inked by Joey of Bombshell Tattoo in Houston, Texas on the arm of Clint. It shows a sandworm rising up from the Arrakeen desert.

Dana picked up this beautiful Dunemontage at the Salt Lake Tattoo Convention. It won second place in the sleeve category.

This beautiful body of text was inked by Matty Nox, an artist that we've featured previously. It shows the famous Litany against Fear:

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

I'm particularly taken with this sleeve by Andrey Grimmy3D Barkov. It shows a grand landscape of Arrakis, a rising sandworm, and an all-seeing Fremen eye. Perhaps it's the eye of Maud'Dib himself.

Mylooz is a tattoo artist in Montreuil, France. She inked this puzzling piece with a sandworm. What does it mean?

Do we have wormsign? You bet we do! Kelvin inked this knee (warning: NSFW URL) showing the terrifying, gaping maw of a sandworm.

Ride the sandworm to prove your readiness. Or this leg, if you can't get to Arrakis. Unfortunately, I don't know who owns the leg or inked the lovely tattoo on it.

Remco Tieleman affirmed his loyalty to House Atreides with this enormous back image. It shows the Atreides family crest, the larger of Arrakis's 2 moons, 2 sandworms, a host of Fremen, and the words "the sleeper must awaken."

Kevin also stands with House Atreides. He got this back tattoo of that family's crest at The Lazy Dragon in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

dvdhwk, a member of a forum dedicated to the Dune novels, post his arm tattoo. It shows the Atreides family crest and the words "Here I am; Here I remain" in classical Greek.

Brian Eschbach, a member of the metal band The Black Dahlia Murder, is a hardcore Dune fan. He's read all of the novels. His sleeve tattoo is an impressive homage to the series. Here's a video of Eschbach showing it off.
