While spring failed to arrive as scheduled the NCWW Raffle will and with a BIG BANG. Our plan is kick off the raffle on Friday April 18th. This year we have assembled an amazing collection of prizes. We have in hand 10 great prizes and expect to be adding to those in the coming days. The Grand prize is valued at over $1,500. We are expecting the total prize package to exceed $5,000. Many of our great raffle prizes are provided with assistance from our wonderful site sponsors. More to come on that.
As in the past tickets will be $5.00 each and be available on-line through May 15th. Watch for the raffle button on the top of the page. Amazon will handle the on-line sales as PayPal does not allow raffles. Tickets will also be sold at the picnic (cash, check or credit card). The drawing will be held after lunch at the May 17th NCWW picnic. Ticket sales are open to all except the members of the BoD since we run the raffle. Tell your friends, family, and coworkers. You need not be present at the picnic to win. If you purchase multiple tickets you can win multiple prizes.
For the newer members and visitors the NCWW Raffle is one of three funding raising activities we do annually. The raffle and our two donation drives are used to cover all NCWW expenses like the web site hosting cost, software licenses, Corp insurance, accounting/tax/legal fees associated with a 501c, NCWW Outreach, the annual picnic expenses,.....). No Board member or NCWW staff member receives any compensation for their long hours.
