Tropical Fishing Adventures client Kris Mohandie and hisyoung son got off the a had a great trip to Pacific Fins in Guatemala,releasing 8 sails on the first day, two of whivh were on twelve pound test. Theaction continued for two more days when they caught yellowfin tuna as well asmore sails and dorado on the flyrod, finishing up by raising a quad of whichthey landed two, one on ten pound test. The tuna are an unexpected bonus thataren’t that common at this time of the year in Guatemala.



The Jake Jordan 5th Annual Sailfish Challenge at Casa Vieja just wrapped up withthe results as follows;
FirstPlace, Team Intensity: Captain Mike Sheeder, Anglers: Tony Weaverwith, (One Striped Marlin and 5 Sailfish), and Joe Seelig,(One Striped Marlin and 4 Sailfish).
Second Place, TeamRum Line: Captain Chris Sheeder, Anglers: Don Butler (5 sailfish) andDanny Cline, (8 sailfish).
Third Place, TeamSpindrift: Captain Nicho Alvarenga, Anglers: Mark Schifrin ( 4Sailfish), and Aaron Schifrin, (2 Sailfish).

Down at Quepos in Costa Rica, another client of TropicalFishing Adventures, Reese Bowles, and his group fishing on two boats averagedfive sails per day, along with some dorado for ceviche.
Further south at Zancudo, the blue marlin seem to beoutnumbering the sailfish, with some boats releasing up to three per day.Inshore roosters and amberjack to fifty pounds are being caught.
