Dave Archer
RENO, Nev. — Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology President Dave Archer was recognized as the “Influencer of the Year” by the American Marketing Association’s Reno-Tahoe chapter at an awards ceremony on June 26.
Archer serves as both the president and CEO of NCET. He has over 35 years of experience in marketing, technology and finance, and joined NCET after a long career as an executive at Viacom, HBO and AOL Netscape.
The “Influencer of the Year” award recognizes Archer’s dedication to building an entrepreneurial environment in Northern Nevada that includes a year-round schedule of networking, training and the annual NCET Small Business Expo.
Archer holds an MBA with honors in marketing and a BA in management from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, Calif. He also holds AS degrees in Electronics Engineering and Broadcast Engineering from the College of San Mateo in San Mateo, Calif.
Dave is a co-founder of the Reno Angels and a past president of the Reno-Tahoe American Marketing Association. He was previously named Nevada Nonprofit News’ “Nonprofit Executive of the Year” and the Reno-Tahoe AMA’s “Marketer of the Year.”
NCET was also awarded the “Best Direct Marketing” award at the AMA awards ceremony for the organization’s email campaigns
