# Responsibilities

Bravo/Oxygen is looking for a Senior Vice President of Research to lead and manage its consumer and trade insights team. The SVP will be responsible for culling insights from the qualitative and quantitative data available, informing and advising programming and marketing decision-makers in support of multi-platform ratings, brand, and business growth goals. The SVP will manage all aspects of analytics and metrics related to viewing of programming across all platforms, marketing effectiveness, and will be responsible for overseeing and managing studies related to awareness tracking, program and concept testing, series maintenance, brand tracking and consumers’ changing entertainment and technology profiles. Candidates need to have expertise in analyzing ratings for all aspects of programming and promoting a cable TV network, intense familiarity with key Nielsen software and data, and strong understanding of VOD and online data. Candidates also need to have expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and extensive experience designing studies, conducting analyses, distilling insights and communicating those insights in a compelling fashion. Candidates must be a “connect the dots” thinker and have excellent knowledge of television programming landscape. Candidates should also have knowledge of and experience with a variety of research methodologies, both traditional and non-traditional. This position will report directly to President, Bravo/Oxygen Media.

Responsibilities:

* Deliver meaningful insights to senior leadership to inform strategies

* Communicate performance, trends and analyses for original and acquired programming

* Advise the scheduling department on how to deliver the highest ratings possible

* Analyze the relationship between TV ratings and viewing on other platforms

* Provide thoughtful research solutions based on client objectives/requirements

* Synthesize materials from multiple sources to share information and make strategic recommendations

* Manage the department staff

* Multi-task and manage several projects at once

* Craft insightful analyses and PowerPoint presentations from raw data

* Manage vendor relationships and an annual project budget

# Qualifications/Requirements

* Minimum 10+ years of experience in Primary/Consumer Insights, Programming, Ad Sales &/or Marketing Research in a media company (with TV core) and/or at an agency, or at research vendor that partners with media companies and agencies.

* 5+ years managing a team

* Extensive experience analyzing survey data and strong familiarity with survey construction
