Responsibilities The Brand Engagement Manager Universal Channel sits alongside Brand Engagement Manager E! & Brand Engagement Manager Syfy as one of 3 Brand Managers reporting to the Heads of Marketing.

The functional objective of the role is to support the development of a highly distinct brand which locally interprets the global brand vision. Alongside strong brand development understanding, the role will support the Head of Marketing Universal Channel in the development & execution of an integrated full mix marketing strategy.

However, alongside the VP Marketing & Head of Marketing, responsibility also extends to supporting the the pulling together of the overall channel strategy & plans for these specific UK channels. This involves working closely with functional contacts across the business whether that be on air communications, commercial marketing, partnerships, programming, product development, research, tech lab, international marketing & PR, as well as incorporating brand and marketing.
Qualifications/Requirements Working closely with the Head of Marketing Universal Channel to support the development of & to execute clear overall channel brand strategies and plans that meet ratings and revenue objectives
Support the setting of channel, web & marketing (digital & traditional) KPIS and reporting on progress/performance on an ongoing basis
Support the Head of Marketing in working closely with the research function & leveraging digital analysis to ensure clear, accurate and useful information is communicated to assist in informing strategy and maximising the effectiveness of programming, marketing and media planning.
Project managing the creative development process both on and off air to deliver excellent creative work, to time and budget.
Work closely with On-Air Media Planning to maximize and integrate on and off-air activity
Execute social media, paid digital media, content marketing and viewer liaison for Universal Channel. This includes working with the PR Manager Universal Channel to lead live social media discussions e.g. twitter around our key content in prime time.
Support the Head of Marketing Universal Channel in the development of UK Digital strategy (web, apps etc) for these channels ensuring UK requirements are clear, communicated and have a clear path to delivery.
Work closely with Universal Channel PR Manager to ensure all activities are aligned and integrated as well as devising & executing internal comms campaigns alongside this channel s PR Manager.
Alongside PR Manager, execute internal passion brand programme for this channel to drive cultural change
Execute sponsorships working closely with Sponsorship team.
Execute trade marketing plans in line with strategy devised by Head of Marketing & VP Marketing with the objective of developing relationships with affiliate platforms such as Sky, Virgin etc as well as Sky Media and Media Agencies.
Review, evaluate and measure on and off air activity. Recommend improvements to innovate and optimize effectiveness of activity and company processes.
Day to day management of marketing budget raising POs, tracking expenditure etc.
Manage the work of external agencies & feedback agency performance to Head of with regards SLA
Develop strong Studio relationships to the benefit of Universal Channel marketing activity

Experience
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Must have proven brand marketing experience likely includes experience of a strong fmcg brand mixed with entertainment brand with strong PR-ability.
Proven ability to contribute to B2C marketing strategy, planning, research and brilliantly execute plans across the full mix: ATL, BTL, PR, Digital, Internal.
Experience of creating & monetizing content
Experience of executing successful full mix B2C marketing campaign
Experience of presenting to clients/senior personnel
