# Responsibilities
The Research Technology team supports a range of data needs for the TV Research Groups across Broadcast, Cable and Local Station businesses across the organization as well as the general research data needs of the organization. The function of the Analytics Manager is to understand those data needs, drive requirements, propose solutions and manage delivery. In particular there would be an emphasis on analytical tools, new research data sources and generally expanding the accessibility of data to the research groups. This would include responsibility for redesigning and maintaining the Research Portal. The candidate would gain a deep understanding of traditional and new Television performance metrics including Nielsen, Adobe Analytics, Rentrak etc.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and detail orientated with excellent communication skills and the ability to define and document clean, logical solutions for both the business and development teams. He/She should have a background in data analytics and Business Intelligence and have experience with successfully delivering data-driven solutions in a data-intensive business environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Own, understand and drive the data requirements of the business
* Subject matter expert on ratings and research data and processes.
* Project Manage the delivery of data solutions through-out the software delivery life-cycle.
* Hand’s on use of Business Intelligence, Analytics and Visualization Tools to drive concepts and ensure success.
* Partner with other internal infrastructure teams to support the Research needs (eg Enterprise Data warehouse Team, Enterprise Collaboration Technology etc)
* Work with Business and Technology teams to propose solutions and provide strategic direction.
* Work with Business and Technology teams to prioritize, define requirements and develop solutions for custom systems as well as support vendor packages. This would include testing, writing documentation and “socialization” of solutions.
# Qualifications/Requirements
* 3+ years Entertainment industry and/or media measurement metrics experience
* 5+ years of Business Intelligence, Analytics or Visualization Tool experience.
* 5+ years Technology Project Management
* Thorough understanding of Software Development and supporting custom applications
* Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand complex logic.
* Excellent Communicator and Documenter
* Advanced Excel capability
* Self-motivated and resourcefulness required in a sometimes ambiguous work environment
* Bachelor’s degree, major in science and/or mathematics.
