The Senior Product Manager will manage, drive and maximise the exploitation of new release films by developing and implementing innovative marketing communication strategies, planning and delivery.
This is a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover an internal secondment.

Key Responsibilities
* Line Management of Junior Product Manager, giving direction and support on campaigns and identifying strengths, development areas and nurturing skills for future promotion
* Strong strategic and consumer focussed planning on all campaigns and broader initiatives; putting the consumer at the heart of everything we do
* Devise marketing strategy and plan (including dating, release platforms, distribution, financial analysis, reporting and recovery planning) for each title’s release
* Evaluate all campaigns to review effectiveness, analyse results, review and learn, and make necessary adjustments to future plans where appropriate
* Ensure that marketing funds are used to maximise sales and profitability and budgets are adhered to
* Brief, manage and direct all external agencies (i.e. design, PR, Media, POS) in order to get the most effective and creative campaign
* Brief and develop media plans that reflect changing consumer media landscape and maximise coverage and frequency with the target consumer
* Develop and implement innovative marketing campaigns and creative assets with minimal input from manager
* Work with International to ensure effective and successful delivery of marketing communications
* Use excellent market knowledge to track market movement, trends and competitive landscape, both theatrically, at home entertainment and at retail
* Collaborate with the theatrical team and new media teams to maximise the full product lifecycle
* Build and maintain open and effective relationships to maximise opportunities with internal departments and external stakeholders
* Work with Customer Marketing and Sales to maximise all trade marketing opportunities including sell-in materials and instore POS
* Work with and build relations with the traditional and new business sales teams with key focus on allocated accounts
* Work with in-house PR managers and external agencies to create buzz and excitement around releases
* Liaise regularly with the Operations department to ensure artwork and special packaging is briefed and delivered within agreed timescales
* Embrace and embed learning opportunities such as digital training, Media Lab sessions and cross-divisional project groups
* Use Universal systems and processes to optimum effect including Uplan, BPFR, APEX and SAP
* Maintain business critical documents and team planning tools
* Manage ad hoc projects and work on cross-departmental task-forces
Key Skills and Experience
Required
* Able to demonstrate innovation and imagination in approach to marketing campaigns
* Track record in initiating and delivering ideas
* Understands consumer dynamics and motivations, identifies and analyses trends, and utilises market research to develop and influence marketing campaigns/strategies
* Previous exposure to, and awareness of, a diverse range of media and communications. Able to brief and manage full media mix campaigns
* Profit conscious with experience of managing P&L; documents and budgets effectively
* Has successfully managed at least one direct report
* Confident and credible presenter, able to present to large, and diverse, groups
* Committed and flexible team player, who can deputise for the Head of Film in her absence, and as required
* Assertive networker who builds relationships with both internal and external customers
* Solution-focused and deadline-driven
* First-rate time management skills – able to develop and manage a critical path and multiple priorities
* Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
* A passion for film
