All classes at Cal State University, San Marcos are cancelled through Friday. Also, commencent ceremonies, which had been scheduled for Friday and Saturday, have been canceled as well. There is no word yet on when, or if, commencement will be rescheduled..
In addition, Miramar College has cancelled all classes on the evening of Wednesday, May 14.
All three MiraCosta College campuses will be closed on Thursday, and final exams will be postponed.
To help support families, three YMCA branches will provide free child care to the general public and first responders for kids ages 5 and up. The Mission Valley, Toby Wells and Copley-Price branches will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and officials recommend you call to make sure the child care centers are not full.
