Pokemon Go has turned Klyde Warren Park into a prime hunting ground for players looking to catch the imaginary creatures.
Plans for a large gathering of players Saturday afternoon have been spreading across social media all week. In light of last week's shooting in downtown Dallas, park security will be on watch.

"We do have security that will be here on hand. We're in constant communication with DPD and that has not changed since last Thursday," said the park's president, Tara Green.
Park staff have been in contact with the event's organizers since last week, but there is no way to gauge how many players show up. The event is scheduled to be held from 2 to 7 p.m.

"When we feel like there might be something out of the norm, which this is not, then we would work together to make sure we provide a safe environment," Green said.
Players in the park on Friday said the attack has already heightened their awareness.

"Since everything that's been going on, a lot of people are aware of what may happen," said Gilbert Campean. "They should be because of the terrorism that's been going around."
"I'm thinking about [the game and my safety] at the same time," said Carlos Gutierez. "I'll be looking at my phone and then look up constantly."
Christina Garcia spent her Friday afternoon keeping a close eye on her children as they wandered the park looking for Pokemon. She was too afraid to visit the park earlier this week when hundreds gathered to pay their respects to the five Dallas police officers who were killed in an ambush.
"My husband's like, 'You better not go.' I was like, 'You don't even have to tell me,'" she said. "Once I knew the memorial was going on I checked the website in the morning and said, 'No, we're not going.'"
Garcia said she probably won't bring her kids to the park Saturday, but Tara Green said anyone who does can be confident that the park will be safe.
"Watch traffic, be aware of your surroundings, and have a great time," she said.
