Attention all animal lovers: if you’re looking to adopt a pet, now is the time!

In an effort to encourage adoption and free space in local kennels, the Animal Care and Control Team of Philadelphia (ACCT Philly) is offering free adoptions for large breed adult dogs and adult cats from November 20th to the 22d. ACCT Philly is also offering half-price adoptions for all other dogs and puppies.

Sleep Out for Homeless Youth Raises $250K

“November and December are busy months for families; everyone is focusing on the upcoming holidays,” Vincent Medley, ACCT Philly’s executive director said in a statement. “But this is actually an excellent time to adopt a pet in need. Not only will you gain a new family member, you will give a much-deserving pet a loving home for the holidays, and that is something to celebrate.”

Kennels at ACCT are at full capacity and the shelter needs help to find homes for the animals.
