What are the different types of jobs in the medical field?
I am 17 and thinking about studying to become a nurse when I go to college because I don’t want to go to grad school. I heard that after college nurses can easily get a job and make alot of money. I heard that nurses(RN) instead of working in ER or critical care units. What are some other areas nurses can work in with only a bachelors or Associates degree and still make alot of money?

Nurses with a bachelors (BSN) or an associates (ADN) make the same amount of money. Bachelor degrees teach the nurse more leadership and away from the bedside training, so that they may step into managerial roles. Average salary for a nurse is $60,000–it all depends on experience, location, etc.

What kind of medical jobs are available for someone with these interests?
I want to be in the medical field, and I enjoy holistic nutrition and health. Blood doesn’t bother me, but I don’t want to be a surgeon who is in surgery everyday maybe once or twice a week is fine. I want to be able to work with all ages of people and I think it would be fun to help research cancer prevention and cures. I also want to help people like myself with cystic acne that is curable through medications to find healthier approaches to clear skin. Your help is appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Work Activities
Adult nurses care for people over the age of 16 who have a long- or short-term illness. They work either in hospitals or in the wider community.
Wherever they are based, adult nurses are part of a multi-disciplinary team, which includes other nurses, health care assistants, doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and many others. They are responsible for planning and implementing the complete nursing care of their patients.
When a patient arrives on the ward, the nurse responsible for them assesses their nursing requirements and draws up a care plan, which outlines their needs and treatment schedule. Nurses observe the effectiveness of treatment and modify the care plan accordingly.
Nursing care is ‘holistic’ in that it looks after a patient’s needs comprehensively. This may include essential care, like washing and feeding, or technical care, like administering medication, checking blood pressure, inserting or removing drips or changing dressings.
Increasingly, complex equipment is being used to assist with patient care, and nurses are often responsible for monitoring this. They also record their observations and any treatment they give.
Some nurses may concentrate on health promotion work. For instance, they help patients to regain or retain their independence, which allows them to continue living at home.
Personal qualities
You need to have good communication skills – partly so that you can work effectively in a team and partly so you can reassure patients and involve them in care planning
Pay and Opportunities
National Health Service (NHS) employees are paid on a rising scale within defined pay bands, according to their skills and responsibilities.
On the Agenda for Change pay scales a newly qualified nurse is on Band 5. From April 1, 2009 this has been £20,710 – £26,839 a year. A nurse team leader is on Band 6 (£24,831 – £33,436), while a nurse team manager is on Band 7 (£29,091 – £38,352 a year).
At the highest levels, nurse consultants can earn up to £65,657, depending on responsibilities.
Qualifications
It is generally thought that most entry criteria for a diploma course will require candidates to possess around 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) of Grade C and above including english literature or language and a science subject. Nursing degree courses usually require candidates to have gained at least 2 A-Level qualifications or equivalent.

If its severe you should get some medical help, my moms a nurse and she says that drinking milk helps allot, and drinking a lot of hot beverages like hot choco, and Coffee hope this helped. =)
