How to get rid of acne with natural remedy?

I’m 17, I have tried almost every product on my face, nothing seems to work. I’ve tried using aloe vera gel straight from the leaf but even that won’t help. I’m really desperate. I don’t want to try synthetic products anymore. Can someone please suggest some natural remedies that I can make at home tog et rid if my acne? They have spread not only on my face but all over my chest and I cannot stand them anymore! Please help me!

A homemade honey mask for the face is easy to make, and super cheap to do. This mask not only helps to slough off dry, dull skin, but also helps clean out the pores and regenerate the skin. Honey is not only an antibacterial agent to help cleanse your skin, it’s also an anti-inflammatory to help ease redness and irritation in your skin. Try this homemade honey mask on your own face a few times a week, and see your skin improve dramatically!

What you need for the honey mask for the face is honey, a banana, and sugar. Combine a whole mashed banana (full of potassium and other nutrients to help hydrate and plump the skin), a teaspoon of sugar (for abrasion for gentle exfoliation), and a teaspoon of regular honey. Mix the pulp together and apply it to your face liberally in a circular motion to allow the mixture to exfoliate and cleanse at the same time.

If you feel the mixture is too thick, change the amounts of honey and sugar to a tablespoon each, or for more exfoliation, simply add a teaspoon more sugar to make the mixture more abrasive. I recommend this for super dry skin or skin that has a lot of serious acne so you can really allow the honey into the pores more easily.

Leave the mask on your face until it begins to feel tight, which should take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on how much of the goop you’ve put on your face. After the face mask has set, simply wash the mixture away with warm water completely and pat your skin dry with a soft, clean towel.

What are some good acne products for sensitive skin?

I have used clean and clear and neutrogena face wash and it ends up breaking out my skin because my skin is sensitive. Is there any acne products or natural remedies that clear acne that can be used for sensitive skin?

vti answers:

There are also some natural methods for acne removal, such as soaking a cotton ball in vinegar and sea salt and then putting the solution on your face for a few minutes before washing it off. This has a drying effect, but it may or may not be irritating to your skin.

As in the case of the drug store treatment, make sure you test it before you put it on your face.

Sandra asks…

vti answers:

1. Daily regular wash with cleanser (Velocity by Mary Kay; Neutrogena products)

2. After washing with warm water, pat dry, and then put a cold, wet towel on your face to close your pores.

3. Put your acne medication/gel on

4. Moisturizer/toner

***Garnier Dark Spot Remover works well for removing dark spot and acne scars!***

For acne:

-I use a clindamycin gel, it’s a prescription though and you would need to talk to your doctor about it to see if it would be alright for your skin, too.

-Try hard boiling an egg, then once you take it out of the water, slowly peel off the shell and there is this thin white filament that can come off. It is on the inner side of the shell. Peel that white skin off of the shell and put it on your problematic acne. Leave it on there, until it dries onto it. Then, keep it there for about 30-1hr if you’re in a hurry, but best if kept on overnight. This should do the trick! It worked for me, but many people have different skin types. But just give it a try Good luck!

-***Grinding orange peel and adding a bit of water to make into a paste is an excellent home remedy for acne! Just make the paste then put on affected area, leave on for about 10 minutes, then rinse off with warm or cool water. Do this daily, or every other day. I have been using this for about a week now, and on the first day, you will already notice dramatic softening of your skin. By the third day, your acne will already begin to reduce. The Vitamin C and slight acidity in the orange is what helps with the reducing and clearing of the acne.

Some other natural masks that help with a variety of slight skin problems:

To Brighten: Cut a slice of ripe papaya and remove the seeds and pulp (save the pulp for a snack later-it’s great for digestion). Rub the inside of the papaya peel on your cleansed face, focusing on lines around the mouth and eyes, crow’s feet, thinning temples, neck and hands. Let it dry for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse with tepid water.

To Exfoliate: Combine 1 tsp honey and 1 tsp olive oil. Separately, prepare a packet of plain oatmeal, using less water than called for so it forms a thick paste. Next, add the honey and olive oil mixture to the cooked oatmeal. Apply as a scrub, gently rubbing it in small circles over your skin, avoiding the eye area. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.

To Cleanse: Combine 1 Tbsp plain Greek yogurt with 2 tsp olive oil and 1/2 tsp lemon oil (not to be confused with lemon juice; lemon oil is an essential oil that can be found at health food stores). The mixture should be a little bit runny but not easily poured out. Massage it over skin, then immediately wipe it off with a washcloth soaked in tepid water.

To Lift & Tighten: Combine 2 Tbsp plain yogurt with 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice (the juice of one lemon) and apply to your cleansed face and neck. Let it dry for 20 to 30 minutes. You’ll feel the mask tighten on your face and neck, which creates a lifting and firming effect. Leave it on longer (up to one hour) for even more face-lifting effects. Once done, rinse with tepid water followed by a cool rinse.

To Tone: After cleansing your skin, brew a cup of chamomile or green tea and allow it to cool. Then soak two clean, round makeup sponges in the tea and squeeze out any excess liquid. Place one on each of your eyes for 15 minutes.

To Soothe: Combine 2 Tbsp honey with 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. Apply to your clean face and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with tepid water followed by a cool rinse.

To Moisturize: Macan-Graves recommends oatmeal and fennel to help moisturize dry skin. Grind 1 Tbsp oatmeal in a blender and set aside. Add 1 Tbsp fennel seeds to 1/2 cup boiling water to make a tea. Allow the seeds to steep for 10 minutes; strain the seeds and discard. Let it cool down to room temperature and then combine 1 Tbsp of the fennel tea with 1 Tbsp ground oatmeal and 1 Tbsp honey. Apply the mixture to your clean face and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with tepid water followed by a cool rinse.

To Brighten: Combine 2 Tbsp sour cream with 2 Tbsp honey and 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. Apply to your cleansed face and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with tepid water followed by a cool (not cold) rinse.

Instead of making a natural remedy check the ingredients on acne products to see how natural they are. NOXZEMA original deep cleansing. You can get it at walgreens. Read the reviews on its website. Its been around for a long time so it must work on your skin too. By the way it costs $5.49 and just because its not expensive like proactive or other fancy acne products doesn’t mean it doesn’t work.

David asks…

What is a natural remedy for discoloration?

I have acne scarring and blotches from past acne on the sides of my face, it’s hyper pigmented and I’m a bit insecure about it. Does anyone know of any natural remedies (or perhaps anything is general) that will get rid of the dark spots? Thank you in advance to all who answers!

vti answers:

Some of the many acne treatments available work better than others. There are many factors that can cause acne which means not all treatments will work for everyone. So if your acne is severe, you should see a dermatologist. Using the following natural remedies should be just as helpful for most cases.

A fast or other detoxification diet is one natural way to treat your acne. For a detoxification diet, the main idea is to give up processed and junk foods for at least a week. You should drink plenty of water, and you can add fresh lemon to this. A juicer would helpful for making fresh fruit and vegetable juices. These help flush toxins out of your system, which in turn helps clear up your acne. Detoxifying every so often can clear up acne but the first time you try it you may experience some discomfort from the change in diet.

Tea tree oil, also known as melaleuca oil, is one of the best natural acne treatments. Tea tree oil is a powerful anti-fungal and antibacterial product, which makes it very effective for getting rid of acne. Melaleuca oil is effective because it is good at fighting off bacteria which can cause acne. You should use clean cotton to apply the melaleuca oil to your skin. Before using the oil be sure to dilute it as pure tea tree oil is very strong and can irritate the skin. Read the instructions carefully if you purchase a product containing tea tree oil. To find out if the product will irritate your skin further, use only a little bit the first few times you use it. Tea tree oil can be a very effective natural acne remedy.

One natural cure for acne is to introduce healthy fats into your diet. Acne is a kind of inflammation and healthy fats like fish oil are great methods for counteracting that. Food cooked in olive oil, avocados, almonds, walnuts and cashews are great sources of healthy foods high in healthy Omega fats. You should also take care to stay away from foods containing unhealthy trans fats which means looking for foods that are free of hydrogenated oils. The type of fat you take in when you eat can have a lot to do with the condition of your skin, and you may find that improving in this one area helps to clear up your acne.

In summary, while acne can be distressing, don’t let it get you too upset. Acne can be treated and it’s something that almost everyone will have to face. The above acne treatments can help you to overcome this unsightly skin problem, and you just have to keep trying remedies until you find one that works for you.
