TVEkta Kapoor’s new fantasy series Brahmarakshas – Jaag Utha Shaitaan has got stupendous reviews ever since its inception in August 2016. Loosely based on Bollywood fantasy film Jaani Dushman, the drama is not just appealing but also intriguing.

However, the selling point of the show is the talented cast. After all, the TV Czarina has brought all the brilliant stars together who have been missing from the small screen from quite some time now.

Aham Sharma as Rishabh Shrivastava

TV heartthrob Aham Sharma is essaying the role of the main protagonist Rishabh Shrivastava. Aham is a popular TV actor known for his role of Karna in Mahabharat.  He was last seen as Arjun in Star Plus’ Dosti Yaariyan Manmarzian along with Kashmira Irani and Monica Sehgal. Quite popular, he was also featured in Eastern Eye’s 50 Sexiest Asian Men in the world. His film About 1962 My Country Land was premiered in 69th Cannes film festival. Aham Sharma was also seen as Ashoka in ABP News’ documentary TV series ‘ASHOKA.’

Krystle D’Souza as Raina Rishabh Shrivastava

26 year old Krystle rose to fame with her role of Sakshi Karan Modi in Sony TV’s Ek Nayi Pehchaan along with Poonam Dhillon. She started her career in 2007 and has been seen in various TV shows including Baat Hamari Pakki Hai, Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil and Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. Over the years, she has won several TV awards in various categories.

Parag Tyagi as Brahmarakshas

Parag Tyagi plays the titular role of Brahmarakshas. He is the antagonist in the show where he is seen playing the role of a monster. This is not the first time he is seen in a negative role. Earlier, he essayed the negative Sharifuddin in Ekta Kapoor’s historical TV serial Jodha Akbar. Before that, he was seen as Archana’s sister in Ekta Kapoor’s serial Pavitra Rishta. He was also seen in Nach Baliye 5 and 7 along with his wife Shefali Zariwali (the kata laga girl).

Kishwar Merchant as Aparajita

Kishwer has been a popular face on TV right from the 90s. She made her debut in Shaktimaan and became a household name with her role of Nonie in Zee TV’s Hip Hip Hurray. Post that she was seen in several serial including Ekta Kapoor’s Kutumb, Kasauti Zindagi Kay , Kkavyanjali, and Pyar Kii Ye Ek Kahani.  She was last seen in Bigg Boss 9 along with her bf Suyyash Rai. The duo created quite a stir on the reality TV show.

Rakshanda Khan as Mohini Shrivastava

Former model, anchor and TV actress, Rakshanda Khan is back again with Brahmarakshas serial and we are all glad that she is playing the role of Rishabh’s mother. Some of her popular TV shows include Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kaajjal, Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Angan Hoga and Bade Achhe Lagte ain. She is married to TV actor Sachin Tyagi who plays the role of Shekhar in Swaragini.

Rishabh Shukla as Mohini’s Brother Thakur Aditya Nigam

Remember Ravi Chopra’s Mahabharat? Well Rishabh Shukla essayed the role of Shantanu in the TV Series.  Before that he did several serials produced by B.R. Chopra including Kanoon, Sauda and Dushman. In recent years, he was seen as Pratap Jaiswal in Baat Hamari Pakki Hai.

Abhaas Mehta as Yug Shrivastava

Abhaas essayed the role of Shyam in Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon. He was also seen in Na Aana Iss Des Laado and Bairi Piya. Here in the serial he plays Rishabh’s elder brother Yug – an antagonist.

Ojaswi Oberoi as Naina Shrivastava

Ojaswi (previously called as Divya) plays the role of Naina Shrivastava – wife of Yug Shrivastava. She has done several TV serial over the years including Devon Ka Dev Mahadev where she played the role of Mohini. She was also seen as Meenakshi in Aasman Se Aage and Meghna in SuperCops vs SuperVillains.
