William Osler Health System (Osler) Foundation is in need of public donations to help raise funds for its brand new, state-of-the-art Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness. Scheduled to open in early 2017, the centre will provide greater access to the programs and services the growing community needs most.

The facility is currently under construction, and while 90 per cent of the building cost is government-funded, Osler Foundation must also provide 100% of the funds to equip the facility. To meet this commitment, Osler Foundation has launched the “You Have The Power” campaign to kick off community fundraising to help raise the required $30 million. This call for support has been answered by some of the GTA’s most-reputable companies, many of which have stepped up to help Osler Foundation meet their funding target.

Notable among them are the dealerships in the Brampton Auto Mall, which have dedicated their large annual Moonlight Madness Sale to raise money.

The sale will be held on June 25, and will see $50 donated to the William Osler Health System Foundation for every car sold during the event. The sale will feature special markdowns on all new vehicles at the auto mall. Deals to be offered include thousands of dollars off regular prices, lease and finance rates from zero per cent, on-the-spot financing and on-site appraisals.

“The Moonlight Madness Sale has been crafted to raise much-needed funds for the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness,” said Dimitri Dariviris, vice-president of sales at Performance Auto Group, which owns several of the dealerships in the Brampton Auto Mall. “Our communities need world-class medical facilities like the ones managed by William Osler Health System, and we consider it our duty to help them at this important time.”

“During the sale, every car at the Brampton Auto Mall will be cleared to sell, with deep dealer discounts and factory rebates offered on all new inventory. The savings for customers will be incredible, and we hope to not only generate funding for William Osler, but to also create local awareness about their fundraising campaign.”

The sale will offer customers a chance to not only drive a new car home for a steeply discounted price, but to also donate towards the new Peel Memorial to help ensure the provision of quality health care to patients and families in their community.

Since the opening of its first dealership in 1991, the Brampton Auto Mall has become a cornerstone of the Brampton community. The auto mall is well known for supporting hundreds of charitable causes, from health to culture to local sports teams.

“The Brampton Auto Mall is an example of true philanthropic leadership in our city,” said Ken Mayhew, President and CEO, William Osler Health System Foundation. “Making a difference in the communities they serve is vital and they understand the importance of funding the necessary equipment to advance the standard of excellence in health care throughout Brampton.”
