Cobra single-length irons are being released to the market after working closely with rising PGA Tour star Bryson DeChambeau.

The One Length irons will be available in the all-new King F7 and Forged Tour models – both available in standard variable lengths.

Each iron has a shaft the length of a 7-iron with the theory being that it allows golfers to use one swing and set-up with all their irons.

Cobra say progressive weighting and technology throughout the set ensures consistent trajectory and distance gapping from long irons to wedges.

Research by the brand showed players testing King F7 One irons improved in accuracy, with tighter distance and dispersion variation from shot-to-shot, leading to increased confidence and better iron play.

DeChambeau uses the King Forged One irons which feature a 5-step forging process that ensures precise iron shaping, a more refined grain structure and improved feel.

They also feature a 100% CNC Milled Face and Grooves for maximum spin and trajectory control.

Tungsten weighting in irons 4-7 result in a lower and centered CG while a TPU insert in irons 4-8 behind the hitting zone dampens vibrations for better feel and moves weight toward the perimeter for added heel and toe relief.

The King F7 and King F7 One irons incorporate Cobra’s progressive cavity construction to optimise the performance characteristics of each iron.

There’s also a thinner face and sole structure that increases the sweet spot to deliver distance, precision and forgiveness.

A full hollow design in the long irons (3-5) put the CG low for easy high launch and more distance.

In the mid irons (6-7) a half hollow design delivers optimal CG for more precise, easy-to-hit clubs.

The scoring irons (8-PW) utilise a traditional cavity back design with wedge spaced grooves for added spin and more control to attack the pins.

The King F7 and King F7 One sets also have a specialty sand and gap wedges.

“The 2017 iron offering is Cobra’s most innovative and exciting yet,” said Tom Olsavsky, Head of R&D for Cobra Golf.

“Not only have we improved our progressive sets this year, but we are introducing our first-ever One Length option that will help to bring more consistency and simplicity to the game of golf for all players.

“In 2017 we will truly have an innovative, high-quality iron solution for every type of player.”
