It's official: The Catbird Seat has its new executive chef, as word comes today from Strategic Hospitality that former Noma sous chef Trevor Moran will be taking over the reigns of the much-lauded restaurant. Says co-owner Ben Goldberg via press release:

We're very excited to welcome Trevor to Nashville and see the next iteration of The Catbird Seat. Since we opened The Catbird Seat two years ago, our vision was to be a place where young chefs can express their creativity with no culinary boundaries. Trevor is extraordinarily talented and takes a unique team approach to his cooking, so I know the creative minds collaborating in our kitchen are going to create some amazing dishes.

This change follows last month's announcement that co-opening chef Erik Anderson would be leaving at the end of December to move back to Minneapolis. Fellow opening chef Josh Habiger left back in July to concentrate on Strategic Hospitality's recently opened Pinewood Social, as well as the company's future projects. Moran joined the team at Noma in 2009, leaving his post there to make the move to Nashville.
