Podcast includes Byron's senior pranks, Truck Series debut
This week on The Dirty Air Podcast the crew covers the 500 mile spectacle that was the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Kevin Harvick and his number four Stewart-Haas Racing team proved once again that there is almost no way to keep them out of the Championship round at Homestead Miami at the end of the year. After suffering two flat tires and a transmission that wouldn't stay in 4 gear, Harvick drove single handedly to a solid third pace finish. And don’t forget we are heading out to Phoenix International Raceway, where he has won the last four consecutive races.

Aside from Harvick, who has not clinched a spot in the next round, they touch on Jeff Gordon, who we know will race for a title in a few weeks, as well as the other six Eliminator round drivers. Another notable Chaser discussed on the show is Martin Truex Jr., who had yet another great run at Texas and is on the right side of the Championship round cut-off as of now.
They also caught up with NASCAR K&N East Series Champion William Byron. Byron, who is only 17 years old and a senior in high school, rushed over to the Dirty Air studio as soon as he was done with class to talk about his opportunity to drive for Kyle Busch Motorsports this weekend at Phoenix. Among other things he also shared valuable intel on his school lunches, his senior prank plan and his math skills.
