Note im writing this on cell phone. I just got to the gym. Anyway, as far as I know, anything that can be considered official, such as Shounen Jump and the like, probably consider the novels as equal canon to the manga. However as far as this wikia is concerned, novels fall a tier lower than anime unless specified. For example, unless I'm mistaken all the Naruto novels that got released after the manga ended was said to be part of the official timeline, and thus K-canon, while that Takigakure book is considered C-canon.

Basically if Seelentau wants to disregard the novels canon, he's free to do so.
