The Division of Education, Arts and Social Sciences works across a wide field of the arts, humanities and social sciences, focusing on applied research and professional education. Programs are enriched by the professional knowledge and connections of staff, and research deals with issues of theoretical significance and practical concern.
With its national reputation for education and working with the professions and broader community, the School of Education continues to drive research, teaching and academic and student achievement within the Education field. The University is seeking outstanding academics to join the School to provide academic leadership in the development and delivery of the School's programs and courses and to promote a culture of scholarship and excellence in teaching and student-centred learning.
You will support the development and delivery of core Primary and Primary/Middle Literacy education courses in the Bachelor of Education and Master of Teaching programs. In addition, you will contribute to the School's research profile and supervise research degree students in this area.
Your ability to actively engage in independent and collaborative research that results in high quality outcomes will further assist you to foster excellence in both teaching and research. Developing and maintaining strategic relationships both internal and external to the University will be essential. To be successful in the role you will have excellent communication skills and well-developed industry networks. All applicants must hold a PhD and be eligible for registration as a teacher in the state of South Australia.
