Apple’s idea behind the multitasking App Switcher is decent, but it’s
very small and can be a pain for larger fingers. If Apple’s one-row
multitasking App Switcher seems too small for you, then you should check
out a new free jailbreak tweak dubbed MultiStorey by iOS developer JamieD360. With MultiStorey, as the name suggests, you will have more than one row of multitasking App Switcher goodness.

MultiStorey makes multitasking easier because more application icons are
shown in an enlarged area. This means that getting to your applications
that are running in the background either won’t require you to scroll
at all, or you will be able to scroll a lot less than if you only had
one row showing you all your opened applications since more content is
displayed per page.

In addition to creating the additional row for multitasking, it also
combines the iPod music interface with the volume bar interface so that
it all fits on one page. Tapping on the volume slider indicator icon
will transform the slider into a brightness slider and vice versa.
MultiStorey also shows you the artist name when music is playing and not
just the song name.

Unlike the similar paid tweak called Switchy,
by iOS developer John Coates, MultiStorey is much more simplistic
because it simply increases the size of the App Switcher without adding
any major functionality. If you recall, Switchy also added a
kill-all-apps function and a settings page to the App Switcher as well
as graphical page indicators.

MultiStorey is worth the download since it's not only free, but also
because it adds some cool new features to the multitasking App Switcher
and also makes it more maneuverable. It has no options to configure and
it works with the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Be sure to give it a try
and let us know your thoughts about it.
