Nasarawa United head coach, Kabir Dogo has called a huge boost the side’s return to their home ground, Lafia Township Stadium for the upcoming top-flight.
The Solid Miners will be staging a comeback to the ground after a season’s sojourn at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi.
Dogo said the management has equipped the side adequately for a successful campaign in the upcoming 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
“It’s a big plus to play our home matches once again on the home ground, Lafia Township Stadium.
“It will be huge playing before our teeming fans after a season’s sojourn in Makurdi, Benue state.
“It’s a welcome development and we hope to profit maximally from the latest development.
“I’m confident the return to our home turf will impact positively to our performance in the upcoming NPFL.
“The government has given us adequate supports to excel in the NPFL by taking care of the welfare of the players and coaches.
“I strongly believe we will perform far better than we did in the immediate past top-flight.
“However, we want to appeal to our teeming fans to show understanding even when results seem not to be coming their way.
“The fans have been deprived the opportunity to watch their darling team for a whole season now we are back they should show maturity so that everyone will be a winner in the return of the team to Lafia,” said the former Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC coach to supersport.com.
The Lafia outfit will be the guests of Wikki Tourists in NPFL matchday 1 clash in Bauchi while the side will host champions, Enugu Rangers in matchday 2 clash at the Lafia Township Stadium.
