UFR Offshore COATING/FIELD JOINT COATING Supervisor

To monitor the implementation of the approved Contractor and sub-contractor project HSE plan and referenced procedures including HSE bridging documents

Participate in Risk Assessment and SERVICE Safety Analysis studies dedicated to vessel construction operations in hands on board

Monitoring and reporting the Health, Safety and Environmental performance of the Contractor and its sub-contractors on site.

Undertake site regular weekly HSE audits & inspections, and ensure corrective action recommendationsare conclusively closed-out.

To focus on the early identification of potential problems and to propose appropriate solutions to HSE Superintendent.

To attend regular meetings with contractors’ HSE representatives to discuss and agree on HSE concerns and potential hazards.

The holder of the position shall in particular be responsible for:

Supporting the Vessel Company Representative/RSES-D and HSE Team onboard the vessels to ensure all lifting operations are carried out safely in line with the Project HSE expectations and objectives.

Continually liaising with DW CPLO to ensure that lifting and handling standards within TUCN and Project specification are consistently respected on offshore installation activities at SITE.

Ensuring that Company Rules and Procedures (Lifting Management System) regarding handling & lifting operations are well understood and applied by the UFR Contractors.

Participating/assisting the DW CPLO in the annual evaluation and review of TUCN approved 3rd Party Lifting Equipment certifiers list which will be deployed on UFR offshore installation activities at SITE.

Providing expertise in day to day handling and lifting activities on offshore installation activities at SITE, which include: categorizing lifts, hazard identifications and risk assessment and technical review (lifting procedures and organizations).

Acting as Company Lifting representative for lifting operations on UFR offshore installation activities at SITE.

Working with UFR Contractors to ensure technically acceptable lifting procedures and other related documentations are prepared in advance of lifting activities.

Assisting the CPLO during assessment of UFR Contractors’ personnel competence to carry out lifting of handling operations.

Reviewing Lifting Operations Plans for all critical lifting or handling operations on UFR offshore installation activities

at SITE.

Performing toolbox talks prior to the beginning of each working shift or when critical lifts are being carried out.

Participating in the actual lifting activities and carrying out post-SERVICE debriefs in order to ensure good assessment of completed SERVICEs with a view towards providing performance feedbacks.

Performing technical inspection and evaluation of cranes and selected lifting equipment proposed for use on UFR offshore installation activities at SITE.

Ensuring that the SLS pre-lift checklist is completed and signed prior to every lifting operation.

Carries out post lifting SERVICE de-briefs.

Ensures and witness the daily lifting and handling activities are carried out as per project requirements and promote best industry practices

Verify all lifting equipments (lifting appliances and accessories) certification used for any lifting operations are valid and

colour coded.

QUALIFICATIONS

The SERVICE holder must be capable of ensuring the application of handling and lifting procedures implemented at the UFR offshore installation activities at SITE.

Has valid certificates of trainings BOSIET or FOET or HUET & SAS

The SERVICE holder must have knowledge of all types of cranes (e.g. crawler, mobile crane with outriggers & pedestal,barge crane, offshore cranes with AHC) and lifting operations that occur at UFR offshore installation activities at SITE.

Knowledge of all aspects of lifting engineering including such items as onshore and offshore load charts, effects of ground bearing capacity, barge stability.

The ability to prepare (or check) lifting engineering calculations and risk assessments.

Hold appropriate technical qualification(s) and have sufficient practical experience to demonstrate technical competence.

Good knowledge of the English Language for effective communication.

UFR OFFSHORE NDT SUPERVISOR

The UFR Offshore NDT supervisor is responsible for all Offshore NDT activities during his shift and is directly accountable for the correct interpretation of all AUT and other NDT activities.

NDT ACTIVITIES

As the specialist in pipeline/structural Non Destructive Testing, on board the UFR CTR flowlines laying vessel the NDE Interpretor shall:
- Make sure the weld preparation and fit-up are acceptable as per specifications.
- Make sure the welds and their non destructive testing are duly identified.
- Ensure that NDE equipment and procedure on use onboard are in accordance with the project specifications.
- Ensure all pipeline welds AUT or X-rayed during his shift are duly interpreted by the NDE agents of CONTRACTOR.
- Supervise NDE processing and make sure it is done according to good workmanship.
- Witness all the NDE done during his shift, make his own interpretation of the results and agree with the NDE CONTRACTOR about the status to be given to the welds. In the absence of TPA onboard the vessel, the NDE Supervisor will act as the highest technical authority on board to validate NDE interpretation.
- Inform the COMPANY Main Representative about all shortcomings, problems and/or major defects detected in the fabrication.
- Ensure that the traceability of NDE results is well maintained onboard through appropriate QC records. Collect the inspection reports carried out during its shift and file them properly on board available for the CY main representative.
- Liaise with UFR welding specialist when required

QUALIFICATIONS

-Previous offshore AUT experience on board J-Lay a pipe laying vessel
-AUT and X-ray radiography interpretation qualification up to date
Certified UT inspector:
- Level 2 (3rd party) as per ISO 9712 or,
- Level 3 as per ISO 9712
-Fully conversant with DNV OS-F101 / API 11-4 welding code as well as GS EP PLR 420/421 and 430
-Having a solid experience in AUT and film reading for offshore piipeline

UFR OFFSHORE WELDING SUPERVISOR

The Offshore Welding Supervisor shall:
- Review all Contractor Project documentation relating to welding, NDE and fabrication in general prior to the commencement of the welding activities on board the vessel
- Supervise any welding/welders qualifications done on the vessel
- Supervise any preparatory work to be done on the vessel before proceeding to the welding production offshore
- Make sure the welds are carried out according to the approved WPS.
- Make sure the weld preparation and fit-up are acceptable as per specifications.
- Agree with Contractor technical representatives on board on correction actions to be taken to meet project technical requirements whenever needed. Make sure actions are enforced accordingly.
- Make sure the welds and their radiography are duly identified and liaise with the offshore Company NDE Interpretor.
- Liaise with the offshore Company NDE Interpretor to ensure all pipeline welds NDE done during his shift are duly interpreted by the NDE agents of CONTRACTOR.
- Inform the COMPANY Main Representative and the Construction Manager about all shortcomings, problems and/or major defects detected in the fabrication

QUALIFICATIONS

- Welding or material science diploma
- CSWIP certified welding inspector level 3.2 or equivalent
