CS Core Performance - Manager

Job description
• Multi - technologies – 2G, 3G, LTE etc.

• Monitor Core Network performance KPIs with the aim of identifying poor performance and escalate/follow up with responsible cross functional teams to improve performance and give customers desired experience.
• Coordinate KPI improvement recommendations to ensure timely intervention in the case of perceived degradation across Core TDM, IP & Signaling interfaces
• Conduct capacity utilization analysis ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of deployed resources
• Provide traffic growth trending  as a guide/input  to capacity forecasting and planning process
• Analysis of SS7-ISUP & SIGTRAN information data for all interfaces and determine threshold breach  that may impact optimal performance of the signaling network
• Trigger responsible Planning units, coordinate and ensure timely network optimization including  POI, Routing, traffic balancing and KPI improvement  across all interconnected  nodes
• Ensure End to end Core Network Performance governance and vendor  management within the Managed Service Contract
• Perform  Capacity monitoring/reporting quality indicators on own Nodes interconnection, POIs with PTOs and GSM operators
• Analyze interconnect KPIs [ASR, ACD, NER] for A-interface, inter-MSC and POIs provide basis for optimization and interventions
• Ensure roaming quality monitoring  to help  proactively reduce roaming challenges
• IR21 roaming database audit and Roaming interconnection checks over GRX
• Conduct post-implementation/optimization checks in conjunction with planning units to
• Build and maintain knowledge repository of all capacity/network issues, optimization intervention and resolution details

Experience:
8 years’ experience which includes:
• 5 years’ work experience in CS  core planning, optimization or Performance  in a GSM  environment
• 3 years’ experience in Performance/quality assurance/planning of Core CS

• Detailed knowledge of control and Access layer technologies with ability to evaluate protocol context and terminations for all MGCP and H.248 end points
• Expert  technical knowledge of BSS/NSS protocols including SS7 MAP/ISUP, SIGTRAN, SCTP BICC,M3UA, M2UA, , BSSAP, SCCP

PS Core & IP/MPLS Performance - Manager

Job description
• Provide  Network Performance report to ensure visibility to network performance,
• Escalation and follow up on the Core PS and IP/MPLS domains exception to drive restoration of service
• Carry out capacity monitoring/reporting of IP Network, (MPLS, Switches, Routers, and security devices – Firewalls, IPS etc.),  PS Core Network Elements; (SGSN, GGSN, SASN, SAPC, etc. ) multimedia and Internet services platforms and interfaces (WAP Gateway, DNS, AAA/radius, internet upstream capacity) ensuring capacity constraints are avoided  and available capacity efficiently distributed
• Perform usage trend analysis for PS and IP network elements and connecting interfaces and  use this to  provide a guide to capacity forecasting  and planning
• Analysis of trend of mobility and session management reports for performance anomalies/exceptions; escalate to responsible teams and make recommendation for optimal performance.
• Coordinate routine parameter audit and consistency checks on PS Core nodes (including  QoS and PCRF application audit) to ensure consistent parameter setting to ensure improved network quality
• Monitor PS Core and IP/MPLS Network Elements with the aim of identifying poor performance and escalating/follow up with responsible stakeholders to improve performance and give customers desired experience.

Trade Marketing Officer

Job description
• Build relationship between lower and upper levels (i.e. between Authorize distributors and Retailers), Support Trade partners by linking Retailers to Trade Partners’ Point of Presence (PoP)
• Ensure call cycle time of 20 visit a day per territory or as business requires
• Identify, classify and support all players in channels of distribution and ensure  weekly / monthly database update
• Ensure MTN product availability in channel is >95% at all times and provide weekly product availability report of all visited outlets during call cycles
• Ensure information from Distributor Account Executive on Trade Partners product distribution is confirmed and relevant Sub Dealers followed up and provide weekly / monthly report
• Resolve all issues/queries with regards to activations, products and promotions
• Direct all channel participants to MTN identified growth area within your territory
• Establish consistent channel standards including branding as per channel recommendation.
• Increase brand awareness – Signage, POS distribution and target 65% visibility in the channel of distribution (Trade marketing team will measure)
• Support all identified outlets with 100% merchandizing as appropriate and defined.

• Provide Informal training in shops on products, services and promotions being run by marketing, channel or region and on the spot training/coaching of all visited outlets in territory (100% of all visited outlets in call cycle)
