Montreal’s The Narcicyst will be releasing his new album World War Free Now on May 26th and the iTunes pre-order link went live today with a few tracks available for download. “Free” features Ian Kamau and was produced by Sandhill and “World War” was produced by Thanks Joey.

I heard the full album at an advance listener accompanied by a visual component in a movie theatre setting a few weeks ago and the whole production was really solid. The project was mastered in association with Landr which is a Montreal start-up that allows you to drag-and-drop files to master tracks, my friend who studied sound engineering actually used the service to master his project a few months ago and co-signs them.

Narcy hosted Marcus Troy and I in a pop culture class he teaches at Concordia University (the only hip hop class in Canada) in October 2013 and we’ll be dropping the audio for it in the near future so keep an eye out.

There’s also a short film entitled Rise, a comic book and a lot more on the way. Pre-order World War Free Now here.
