Nagpur: India’s largest luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz inaugurated a brand new state-of-the-art showroom in Maharashtra’s emerging city of Nagpur. Auto Hangar, located in a prime location in Nagpur promises to be a luxury destination for luxury automobile enthusiasts across the growing customer base in the entire Vidarbha region. The luxurious dealership was inaugurated by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Benz India Roland Folger and Managing Director of Auto Hangar Mohan Mariwala.

The workshop is approximately 500 metres from the showroom, which is well-equipped with 11 Bays and 23 trained staff for maintenance and repairs. Mercedes-Benz has the most widespread network of any luxury car maker in India, with 84 outlets across 40 cities. The network expansion drive will continue this year with the inauguration of 10 new outlets. The network expansion is well strategized bringing the company closer to the established customers, potential patrons as well as offering all visitors the luxuryof the Mercedes-Benz world.
While speaking to Nagpur Today, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India Roland Folger said that they have learnt to reach out and come closer to their customers. They feel that their coming closer to the customers has enhanced their sales 5 times. They want to enhance the facilities even further.
While answering a query on the Nagpur market, he said that Nagpur is a nascent market. While answering to another question on the manufacture of the cars in Pune, he said that 60% of the parts are made in India and the rest in imported. He said that their manufacturing unit in Pune is capable of manufacturing 20,000 cars per month. He added that the company intends to open 10 new dealerships in India.
While answering to another question on their intention of bringing out a cheaper car for the middle income group, he said that they would not like to compromise on their quality, safety and other equipments just to enter into a new cheaper vehicle for the middle income group. However, he added that there are many schemes and offers that are offered from time to time and festive season rebates etc. Finance schemes are available too for those deciding to buy their cars.
