Cheeky Chunks sells designer umbrellas through various marketplaces. He is a startup and entrepreneurship enthusiast with varied interests like writing, travelling and gaming. He wants to improve everyday life by innovating and introducing different products that solve genuine problems through creativity.
Pratik started Cheeky Chunk in 2014 when he marketed a few umbrellas in a small market. Due to the great response, he decided to start a company selling unique designer umbrellas at affordable prices and opted out of a job after his post -graduation. He says, “ I got this idea for two reasons –It wasn’t done by anyone before, giving me an access to a largely untapped market. Secondly, I couldn’t bear the monotony of a day job where I would have to work to make someone else rich.”
Currently Cheeky Chunk is selling through their website, Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal and a few retail stores in Mumbai. They have already sold more than 7000 umbrellas, much more than the initial target 1000 set early this year. Pratik has been through the roller-coaster ride of entrepreneurship with an extra bumpy bootstrapping experience.
Aditya Gandhi (Co-Founder – Purple Squirrel Eduventures Pvt. Ltd.)
Aditya, a B.Tech and M. Tech from IIT, Powai, first stepped into the world of PR and Funding when he led a 60 member PR team in Mood Indigo, to build the biggest media campaign for the festival of INR 25 million.

Praveen Gandhi (Founder – Seed Fund)
Pravin Gandhi has been an entrepreneur for 40 odd years. He has been involved in many pioneering efforts with starting one of the first computer companies in 1972. Born in Canada, he did his MBA there and then went on to work with XoraInc, a GPS company as Project Manager. He moved to Bangalore where he plunged into the start- up arena with gusto.
Raveen saw a need and worked at the solution – all Hoopos, Myntra were not just ideas, they fulfilled a need of likeminded people. All his companies have scaled epic heights in the e-commerce space.
NudgeSpot maintains outbound communication for their clients across the dashboard of emails, SMS, apps and other channels. They provide services to SMEs, online clients like Ola, Bluestone and Zivame.
Nudgespot is a team of about 15, based in Bangalore. It is currently expanding both its technology and business teams. Its intention is to get more and more paying customers, not chase investments. Their $650k seed round of funding closed in a week,meaning they could easily look for another round, but Raveen is a bit wary and wants the business to prove itself before raising more.
