The Startup Career Launchpad on Tour stopped off at The University of York yesterday evening where 40 students gathered to discover more about the world of startups.

The event featured two panels, with speakers from both tech and creative startups. Despite their differences, both panels were passionate about working for startups in comparison to traditional graduate scheme routes. The tech panel talked about the differences between starting a business as compared to working for one. Whereas the creative panel discussed how they turned their passion into a business.



Oscar Ford was a speaker on the tech panel. He said “It was really great to be a panel with regional and national startups. To have the opportunity to showcase startups and small businesses compared to traditional routes was really exciting- we need more of this”.
