Your Business:
Every year, 3 million people go to festivals in the UK. On average they‘ll spend £140 on incorrect equipment just to be used once then thrown away. The Lazy Camper is a complete outdoors kit with everything you need in one bag from £59.99.
Where do you see the business in a year?
In a year, I want to see the lazy camper as the leading Camping package in the UK festival scene. I have a vision to see a field of Lazy Camper tents at major festivals. I also want to be furthering international market sales.
Progress and Achievements:
Student Enterprise of the Year (University of Huddersfield) 2012.
What has been your biggest challenge?
My biggest challenge was trying to find a stockist for The Lazy Camper. 30 letters later, plus endless emails and phone calls, I finally got a call directly to my mobile from the Director of one of the world’s largest supermarket chains. I meet them in a few weeks.
Tell us a bit about yourself:
I study Enterprise Development full time at the University of Huddersfield, having just started my second year. I’m also the Yorkshire Ambassador for Virgin Media Pioneers. I also often speak as a representative of young entrepreneurs.
Why do you call yourself an entrepreneur?
An Entrepreneur is a person who habitually creates and innovates to build something of recognised value around perceived opportunities. That’s me!
Describe yourself in a tweet:
19, in love with enterprise, no urge to rest until I run the worlds biggest business empire! Excited to meet myself in 5 years.
