I am new here, and am trying to read volumes, trying to catch up on tractors.
I moved into a new house with a big yard. A widow friend offered me her husbands tractor, a Sears GT 18. It has been sitting in her garage for the past five years, without being started.
The manual has lot's of his notes written all over it. One note says, "about '80-'81". It is model #917.257.120
I guess, from what I understand, that it has the Tecumseh engine instead of the Onan.
It runs and mows great. I have used it every week throughout this season.
Anyway, I have the opportunity for a newer, larger John Deere with several attachments, and am going to want to sell the GT 18.
Can anyone give my an idea of it's value?
Where is a good place to find current values?
